So Mark Stoops is off our list now right? Seems like just a couple weeks ago he was the flavor of the month
unrealistic anyway.
the list should include Meyer, Leipold, Mickey, and nobody else.
There is a lot of good coaches out there. Not just those 3. 2 of the three would be "settling".
it remains to be seen whether Leipold and Mickey would be settling. I'd say at this point Meyer > Leipold > Mickey.
Chris Klieman - would be great, I just don't have a feeling he'd listen.
Matt Campbell - has terrible offenses and has the same record as Nebraska right now so no thanks.
Dave Aranda - would be fine, though i'm more impressed by Leipold's current state + turnaround, not to mention I don't think he listens to us at all if Wisconsin/SEC comes running.
Matt Rhule - How many wins over top 25 teams does he have? i don't think its a big number. Big 12 was pretty weak when he was last coaching plus his teams tended to suffer 2nd half meltdowns.
Jake Dickert - wouldn't hate it, wouldn't love it. the shine of that Wisconsin win has lost a little luster though.
Kalen DeBoer - good coach, dropped an ugly one today though. Win against Michigan State has also lost some luster.
PJ Fleck - lol he ain't coming here
i'm not even going to bother to list any coordinators/G5/service academy coaches cuz that's just a waste of time.

That’s about the only way Lance would impress me. Beating Iowa State, Houston, & West Virginia isn’t exactly what wows me. Especially when your recruiting classes rank 90 or worse. Granted you can say “it’s hard to recruit Kansas”, well you should at least out recruit the military schools or the sun belt conference!!! Or you should at least be able to somewhat recruit your dam state.
Kansas starts playing better talent now. Let’s see how the lack of Jim’s and joes translates against OU, Baylor, Okie-State, & Texas
can’t give a mini-van driver a nascar and expect them to win Daytona

And I get it, we’ve been done so long that being like Iowa and Minnesota sounds attractive right now but be better than that Nebraska. We deserve better than Leipod. We have a lot of resources. Let’s give them to someone who knows how to use it. We may have been a has been but Americans love a comeback story

I like Mickey and he is doing a wonderful job. No doubt. However, starting with Purdue, it gets a lot harder for them. Hopefully I am wrong, but I think they have 1-2 wins left. I don't think that Mickey has a huge shot of being the head coach. He replaced the biggest idiot in Neb football history. There are plenty of coaches that could have came in and beat a couple of bottom dwellers.
I do think that he has done a great job so far, but I don't think he is ready for this stage quite yet. His body of work aside from LSU, is a little questionable. But who knows? Maybe he is the one to turn it around. Aside from Busch and Appplewhite, every last remaing assistant coach should be terminated. If he can bring in some quality assisants, then it might be a different story. I just don't see it happening.

offense is the problem and we sure will need some offense @ Purdue. And I’m afraid your right, we will probably lose in West Lafayette. Purdue probably the best team we have faced yet and the best on the schedule outside of MeatChicken. But Mickey shouldn’t have to win out to win the job.
Strongly disagree. Nebraska will have to beat a really good Purdue team on the road next week to win the West. If that’s the bar, that’s not exactly fair.
we just don’t have another WR good enough to keep the defense from bracketing off Palmer. We need more than Palmer and Grant to beat Purdue and we just don’t have it on offense right now.
But we will. Bonner and Miller should solidify that WR core. We will have Grant and Ajay next year. We could be much improved next season on offense and aren’t losing much on D.
Don’t retain Mickey as HC and Bring in anyone outside of Dave A, next year is going to suck. They’ll be a culture reset on a culture that is currently going in the right direction.
Lance would go 2-10 next year at Nebraska. He’s never done well year 1
Our WR are plenty good enough. That OL is what is going to keep us from winning many more games.
Agree to disagree there on WRs. Marcus drops a lot of balls. ICG is basically a walking IR. Brown is learning WR. Martins on year 6 and team 3 and still hasn’t been consistent. And Omar should just quit football
agree that the O-line is bad though. The whole offense is a shitshow outside of Grant and Palmer.

Really good Purdue team? I would say a decent team that has played well at times and look really bad at times. They caught Minnesota without their best RB, made them one dimensional and forced Morgan to beat them with his arm. He couldn't.
