Paul might look good stat-wise, but he needs to be replaced by Hyatt in the starting lineup. He can still get similar minutes overall, but he doesn’t work for us to start. Our usual starting lineup has too many ball handlers. At least Hyatt is a bigger body for rebounds and I also like that he drives to score, which we could be doing more of. Paul holds the ball too much and slows things down to a crawl when it doesn’t have to.

Put Paul in with the second string who have a much tougher time creating their own shot and need a steady ball handler. That should also make the bench more effective.

I also feel that Caleb is a lot better offensively than what he has been showing and that is largely because the offense is thrown all out of sorts with the ball-dominant starting lineup.

Interesting point about ball dominant lineup. The problem with Paul coming in with the backups is Paul isn't a scorer and neither is anyone else really except Hyatt and Jones.

Hyatt does look to shoot a lot as some have mentioned but that should be his role as a bench scorer. He just hasn't seemed to find his rhythm with this team yet

What’s there to shake up really? Going into the year we pretty much said the big ifs to a successful season were really really need Jones and Hyatt to become starters/massive contributors and we needed to avoid Geo Paul McConnell playing together or our offense will be really bad.

Apparently Jones and Hyatt failed to do that and everything has happened pretty much how we thought might if that were the case.

Program is in a tough spot now and going forward. Staying in the moment, hopefully we take care of the next two before we really buckle up for a really really tough stretch that is most likely going to be the wake up call for those not there yet. Gonna need those 2 wins to have any chance at getting to .500 overall record.

I do agree we should get Hyatt in as a way of breaking up the guard trio but Pike has shown for a season and a half he is loyal to those 3 players, I think, to a fault.

We only really needed one of Jones and Hyatt to be a reliable scorer off the bench. Too bad we have gotten neither.

Hyatt does seem like the type that can get hot though and he has a B1G body. Hoping he has a strong second half to the season. Remember JY started very slow integrating into the team and finding his groove
