Okay, but who said this was an announcement? The thread title doesn't say that, so what's your beef exactly? It's clearly an indicator of his intentions, isn't it?

All indications, other than the words out of Cal's and Sharpe's handlers mouths, is that he is staying in the draft. Everyone has known this since late January/early February. This is not news.
And CAL absolutely deserves the heat from this whole fiasco. It is one thing to be player's first when the player's goals align with the program's goals. It is yet another when the player's intentions are to the detriment of the program. Sharpe had no intention of being a part of the BBN...CAL should have never allowed him to execute this plan. And no one will ever convince me that CAL didn't know what was going on the entire time.
This situation is on CAL!

This plan has been a smashing success from his perspective. He’s getting to the NBA lottery riches a year earlier than the rest of his class …and while enjoying NIL money, a new Porsche and UK’s facilities and resources too. What a deal!
He won’t fail, and there will be coaches all along the way that take credit for his success .

Well, Sharpe didn’t have the decency to actually play for Kentucky and not use the program so I doubt he would have any in this case unfortunately.

This whole situation is the main reason Barnhart had the meeting with Cal a few weeks ago. He was that pissed off about it.
