Utah Forward Seydou Traore 9ppg 3.4rbp is down to Hall, UConn, & West Virginia per Zags.
Curious what the logic is with this one given all the guards/potential wings we already have in the fold.

He did seemingly rebound well at Manhattan as a freshman, but doesn't seem that has translated once he went up a level.

This is the aisle we always shop in with PF/C whether only because of budget and/or how we want to spend our money. No surprise here. Dre Davis, Prince Aligbe, Elijah Fisher, on and on.

So it's more about skill, not height?
What was unclear?

I’m not doing somersaults of joy over the prospect of a 6’6 PF because outside of a select few who can overcome being undersized with extreme skill/athleticism, it’s not the path to postseason success.

How many successful power conference teams this past season had a 6’6 or under PF? I’d say probably not many.

Name any teams that are successful with 6'5 power forwards in 2025/26 too. Sure we won 20 games but that was mostly due to a cupcake out of conference schedule and not the result of winning BE games against the top 3 BE teams! Thus we did not even come close to making the dance!

I'm not worried about his height, I'm worried about the fact that he's not a very good player. I'll take a 6'6" guy at PF as long as he plays like Dre Davis and not Prince Aligbe. Traore is cross between Aligbe and Dylan Wusu.

Traore rates as a good defender but he doesn't rebound well and he's terribly inefficient offensively. High TO rate, low shooting %.

Don't know if we are involved with Isaiah Johnson-Arigu but I like him better. 6'7" springy athlete, good defender, rebounder and efficient offensive player across the board.
