Omg could you imagine if we had 3 or 4 capable running backs?

Sevion, Scott, Ervin or Irvin, the guy from USC... 😍

Was dinged up last year. Reported to be 100% now and in top form.

High level recruit with good offer list. Also nice to have a but more experienced guy to lean on early while Steppe and Irvin continue to learn the system.
#1 today at practice.

Rivals 250 guy. How many more swing and misses can we have on 4* skill position players.... We have plenty of them this season so I'm going to be optimistic and guess that we have a great season this year!!!

Please lord have this guy stay healthy. Ervin is nice, and Yant and Scott are ok, but I dont see anyone other than Sevion as being able to get to that next level.

I honestly think it’ll be pretty stacked. I do think you will see some early bumps, but it’s only going to make them better having that competition. Now, can the oline give them holes…..

Injury bug has been after him, seems to be a guy who gets a lot of "soft tissue" injuries. Need to get him to where he can stretch and do the splits like Jean Claude Van Damme so he can stay available and not be tweaking hammies.

If this room ends up being all misses, you have to start looking at their development I would think?

Held has brought players in nicely, but other than Devine, what player has really improved at RB while here?

Never had a concern with the RB room. Need the OL to be nasty road-graders.
Agree, and Martinez is going to have to prove once and for all he can consistently find/hit open WRs. Nearly every team is going to load the box and make AM beat them with his arm. All he has to do is hit a couple and suddenly the running game gets that much better.

Held really emphasized in today’s presser that 4 guys are emerging as the potential #1 back. Stepp has to be the front runner. I’m guessing Scott, Morrison and Ervin are the four. Which leaves out Rhameer Johnson and Yant.

I remember seeing teams dare us to throw last year, and we simply couldn’t.
(e.g. an almost certain TD when CB and safety both abandoned our WR on the edge pre-snap with us asleep at the wheel to recognize the easy play presented).

The oft-hated swing pass carries no threat when you can’t throw downfield.

I remember USC working us with their stupid swing passes because Cosgrove loved playing CBs 12 yards off the LOS…. presumably out of fear the WR’s would blow by us for bigger plays. A lot harder to make the 1v1 tackles when there’s that much space.

I would say same thing about WR and Oline and about offense in general. Just to many guys that are highly rated in 2021 two deep and almost all have some experience now. If we don't see something on offense this year the only other levers are on coaches (development, scheme and game preparation).

I like this kid. Needs to work on flexibility, since he is prone to injury. He’s a stud, and potentially a bell cow.

Interesting......thanks for posting. Gives me hope that we finally have some dudes at that spot!!!!
I've been saying for months that we're 4-5 deep now with guys getting healthy and the addition of Ervin and Stepp. Loved what I saw from Ervin, Scott and Yant in the spring game. Any of those guys could be a #1 on lots of teams. We haven't seen Morrison at all so there you go. I really like our RB room but damn our O line needs to give them some gaps.
