I once coached the worst tennis team I'd ever had( it was early in my career....we finished last in every meet we played)...we were not only pretty bad but creative in ways to lose...the next year, three precocious frosh joined our team, the returners moved down three spots, saw the example of how you PLAY AND WIN, felt the competition, and became much better players. Good days are coming for us, I'm convinced.

Have a good day...

I think I met you earlier this year. As I told you then, it's going to be a process to implement this system. It may have seemed like it happened overnight at UCF but it was due to the kids buying in 100%. Once that happens, you'll be winning games. However, it may take a roster turnover.

some members of this little Husker love-fest seem to think if you have any criticism of "The FROST"....you aren't a "true fan". I agree with your post....I think this fan base as a whole, have become so callus to a loss that we get over it quick and move on.....but some of us just don't.

We were fed a line by sports writers......Bill Moos....other posters.....that Frost coming here was akin to the second coming of Osborne (if not someone even more divine)....here we have seen two games that have just been totally crap shows....undisciplined...sloppy....simply poor examples of coaching and play calling among other things. We're told we are not good fans if we mention those facts...instead of saying how great the future looks with our $5 million dollar per year coach.

No one is starting the "Fire Frost" campaign. I can still be very optimistic about the future, and I am because this team had fallen so far and I believe Scott Frost can bring them out of it. But these first two games are poor examples of execution and coaching which will get better hopefully.

Us UCF fans had some head scratching moments in Frost's first year. Losing leads in the 2nd half in particular were beyond frustrating.

That being said, in his 2nd year with many true freshmen contributing, everything changed for the better.

I agree 100%. After the Colorado game, I thought we would see a different starting line up with more newcomers infused in the first quarter. The following players would probably be coming off the bench:

Tyjon Lindsey (not on the depth chart at all)

Mike Williams (2nd or 3rd; doesn’t block and had a critical penalty yesterday)

Greg Bell (2nd or 3rd)

Lamar Jackson (2nd or 3rd but maybe no one to replace him with)

When I listened to Coach Frosts post game press conference it perplexed me when he mentioned that he told the team IF anyone didn't want to be/get on board, let him know and get off.

Is there still purging that needs to be done? Seems like he was calling out somebody and pretty bold public statement.

My guess is he thought there were players who were giving less than 100% in the game. And we was calling them out. But that is just a guess. To me he looked really pissed in that presser. Like he wanted to punch someone. You can tell he hates to lose.

Just an opinion, but based on a few rumors.. There are still some players not happy with the way the QB situation was handled between Gebbia and Martinez. This is an ongoing problem along with one or two other problems existing between the staff and players. These need to be ironed out and quickly. Let's hope Frost figures out a way to get it all handled sooner than later!

Ah yes... "rumors".
Who is your source? What are the one or two issues between staff and players? And which is it, one or two issues? If you actually know the specifics of the issues it should be easy to say if there are one or two or three. Why were some players not happy with the QB decision? Details should be easy if you have a real source. So why do you say this is just an opinion if it is rooted in a source?

Or... is this just something you heard at Taco Bell from someone who knows someone who knows someone?

Nobody was fed a line you troll. And Frost never promised we wouldn't lose a game...in fact he said we would most likely lose a few on the way to turning this program around. There is no little Husker love-fest you phuck it's a board full of anti-Husker antagonist trolls like you! Nice try d*ckhead

Some of you guys are hilarious. As I have said in the past I will let my posts stand on their own merits. In addition trust or do not trust my words. That is totally up to you. If you do not want any info continue attacking those that bring some info to the board once in awhile. Makes good sense to me.

Your post's merits? Innuendo and gossip dressed up as insider information. I do not trust your words. As you say, that is my choice.

And what "info" have you brought to this board? Nothing. Because there is no way to verify, and to therefore trust, the rumors you claim. Thus, this isn't trustworthy information. Therefore, it isn't information.

And it is laughable how you come on here posing as someone with insider info but who gives no evidence of anything, but then turns it around to make it seem as if the people who don't trust you are the ones with the problem. Lol.

Everything you say is just vague ********. Like a Nostradamus "prophecy".

There is a lot more purging to be done.

Don't know why anyone gives these guys the time of day. These wannabe "insiders" don't have a clue what's going on, just like the rest of us.

This is the comment that struck me also. IMO, if he's going to say this then its time to take action or his words are just meaningless coach speak. If there is any issue with commitment, taking instruction, concentration, etc., from anyone, there needs to be some demotions -- even if the next guy in line may not be a clear step up. We aren't winning the NC and we probably aren't winning the B10 with this group. So this is the season to set an example with what is or isn't acceptable from commitment, preparation, attitude, etc. and let the chips fall where they might.

Let me get this straight....you didn't like my opinion on this public forum message board about Husker football...and now you now want to beat me up because I replied your over the top message with an equally over the top reply?

I think we both need time out.....I will apologize here... I should never have responded to you in the first place or in the manner that I did. You can continue to have your opinion and I will also.

I will admit that I was a little distracted when listening to Coach's postgame comments, but I almost got the impression that comment was as much directed at fans as much as it was the players. Anyone else feel that way?
