Better hope Roby's injury isn't serious, or none of our non-conference wins will matter. We won't beat many Big Ten teams unless our starters stay healthy.

Roby's injury isn't serious at all. He sat out Saturday as a precaution because they were playing Sourhwest Minnesota State Technical College. If it had been a league game, Roby would've played.

Seton Hall also won at Maryland earlier in the week. While the Terps' record is a mirage, it was still a good road win over a then-top 25 team. Pirates have a chance to finish pretty high in the Big East.

Seton Hall also holds a victory over Kentucky. This win should turn out to be a quad one win for the Huskers even at home.

Roby and LeBron both with groin injuries. Maybe there's nothing to see here, but I've never seen them both in the same room...

So go Creighton???

Yes. Well, probably. Maybe.

I'd like to think that NU will win enough games in the B1G conference season that they will have naturally accumulated enough quality wins that making the NCAA tournament is a given. That they can use the conference tournament as a way to improve their seed, not as a last-ditch effort to get off the bubble.

January will tell us a lot. Hell, the next 7 days will tell us a lot.

FWIW, going into the weekend, Lunardi had NU as a #5 seed (1 of 10 B1G teams in the field); Seton Hall a 10; Creighton as the last first round bye; Clemson as one of the next four out. NU was #14 in the NET rankings, as well.

Nice come from behind win to hand St. John’s their first loss of the season.

I trust I don’t have to explain why this is important.
That was an unbelievable screw job and if I was a Johnnies fan I would be pissed. But for us, it would be great if SH keeps winning.

Creighton will be lucky to make the NIT. They are not very good

I just haven't seen that overbearing ability to be able to win. Urgency. I still think there is a 'wonder' if we can do it and need at least Watson and Palmer to show that leadership. I still don't think they completely believe.

Good win for Creighton today at Providence. Not a huge resume-builder, but a conference road win I wasn't really expecting the Jays to get.
