That was a really complete and informative thread.

Did they lose? Did they just have a bad start? Hard to follow. I'll Google it but I had hoped for something more, FWIW
Seton Hall was outplayed from the opening tap.St,Johns was the far quicker team constantly running and making baskets on fast breaks..This game was rescheduled because of Covid and had to be played in Walsh Gym because of scheduling conflicts.

SHU looked bad, like really bad last night. The game was played on campus when the original game scheduled for the Rock got rescheduled due to Covid. The spectators were students only, done by lottery. I thought the atmosphere looked great.

Let's home there is no Rutgers WTF threads at 10 tonight.

Didn't SHU win at SJU over the weekend? Then to turn around and have a WTF game on their campus is pretty surprising. I guess SJU wanted it more and was tired of receiving so little attention in the media this season. Georgetown and Butler aside, they've seemed like the forgotten orphans.

2 RU takeaways
1. SHU won at SJU and then turned around and loss vs SJU at home
2. Mathis is not playing a major role

Loyal , to assist , it was an old school Nolan Richardson/ Mike Anderson full court press with incredible pace with St. John’s stealing the ball and jacking up shots and crashing the boards. Immediately after a make, immediately attacked the inbounds pass and doubled everyone. They set up no plays until well into the second half.
Also , for those Montes haters, he had a real good game , knocked down a few threes , a couple of fast break flushes and had a bunch of steals and tie ups. Very happy for him.
Now this was unusual as it was a home and home and Seton Hall beat St. John’s at the Garden on Saturday 66-60 but they were never in this one and we’re down almost 30 in the second half before losing by 21. It was the first game at Walsh they said since 1985.
Hope that helped a little.

Good game for him. He made 2 3’s. 3-8 overall for 10 points. To his credit 3 steals and only one turnover. 3 fouls in 17 minutes. Not bad.

SHU and SJU are both good teams obviously...Johnnies had a great win at Xavier yesterday. But I think SHU in particular is not living up to their potential. Aiken is a big loss I know but they are now 6-8 in conference. I think they still have work to do (as we do, obviously).

This. Without Aiken SHU is a different team. I think we beat them today even with Aiken, but SHU is a solid team. That said, they need to be careful they don’t get caught by SJU or they could be bumped.
