I knew it all along. I wasn't shocked that they played UConn so closely, but realistically they'd lose to them by double digits nearly every time if the Huskies were on point.
I'm not shocked by this losing streak. Shaheen Holloway is a great coach; he just doesn't have great talent or guys with good situational basketball IQ. This team is a lot like Cincinnati. I knew they were going to lose the St. John's game, even when they were up by double-digits because of the poor basketball IQ culminating in bad shot selection and careless turnovers. I personally think he needs to recruit and develop the right guys. Find those undervalued HS guys who are committed to staying at the same school for four years the way Purdue does instead of throwing slop together from the portal.
