UConn needs to keep pouring it on and relegate SHU to having to win the Big East tournament, if the Huskies win today and this weekend vs Gtown, they are going to be up on that 8/9 line

I think the BE in general and SHU in particular are going to regret throwing UCONN a lifeline. They start contending annually for the conference championship next year.

Seton lost to a lousy Rhode Island team and Butler and Georgetown. And we lost to Nebraska. They don't have a win as good as Illinois.

SHU just isn’t that good. They’ll miss the tournament and rightly so. In the end, didn’t deserve it.

We should not be saying anything about SHU. We have been struggling as well and a lot of crazy things have been happening all over these college basketball games. There have been so many upsets over the past week.

If you think at this juncture of the season our team is any better than SHU than you are just not being objective. Both have plenty of warts and while our overall resume for a bid maybe stronger, we seem intent on going in through the back door rather than the front.

Its not a matter of whether RU or SHU is the better team. It’s about who gets invited to the tournament. Would have been nice to play them this season.

We are not going through the back door imo. Our team is streaky on both ends of the floor and lacks consistency in their shooting. That’s why we can get blown out at Nebraska, but also compete against the top 3 in the B1G at times.

Thats why I think the MN game is a tossup. I believe that the team plays hard, but our performance, especially on offense, is always in doubt. Hoping for the best.

Biggest RU game in 30 years?

Both teams are deeply flawed and hoping for a life line to survive.I think its important for Rutgers and Seton Hall to have successful basketball programs because it increases the rivalry and hopefully helps keeping top tier NJ recruits staying home.
