Sestina is a great guy...love to see him finish out his career in style with a great March. When he is playing well, he's a difference maker for us.

I double up on everything you just said. Seems like a stand up kid who works his tail off for the team. Many on here have been harsh on him at times but I'm thankful we've had him as he adds good depth to a shallow frontcourt and can come out and get hot from the 3. Like you, aikenite4uk, I hope he plays his best ball of the year all through March and into April, he can be a difference maker.

He’s the prototypical “glue guy”. He is a huge difference maker for us when he is playing well. The minutes he gave us against LSU and the last game against Auburn were invaluable. Especially for a front court that is already thin. If he can provide those types of mins where he makes a few shots and limits his turnovers and fouls, he could be the difference maker in the tourney. I thought it would’ve been Brooks that broke out by the end of the year and he’s the guy we would talk about being the difference maker, but it seems we misjudged his talent level and his readiness to contribute at this point in his career. He seems like a 2-3 year guy at least.

Could see him having his big game in first round of tournament playing against a mod major that will likely provide a favorable match up. And help us not lose the game that always seem closer than they used to in the past regardless how good we are

The Fightin' Mark Popes 2.0? I hope his is pulling down that tail for a long time. Big, strong, handsome kid, he's prolly doin' well. Not to be mean, but i hope Cal locks 'em up for the next month.

Agree, not the most talented but gives us everything he has.

Would love to see him have a big NCAA tournament for us.
Lots of talk about Hagans or EJ but I'm anxious to see what we get from Nate tomorrow and the rest of the way. He needs to make the most of his abilities to perhaps be the most important guy offensively and defensively for this team moving forward.

I think he would make a good Coach someday if he were to choose that path.

He would have to hire a good defensive coach though. Lol

How bout 15pts/8rebs for last home game Nate!

What makes you think he’d be a great college basketball coach?

Well I said good coach, but,

Has a Passion for the game.

The way he communicates on the court.

Hes a vocal leader.

Understands the game and where everyone should be.

Personality is upper level.

Seems to love the game and plays it with intensity.

Players would follow him.

I think Nate is going to blow up in a crucial game in the tournament. Like hit 4-5 3s and go for 20 big points and save our season.
Would love it for him to have one big moment in the tourney as a feel good memory to last a lifetime and think it's very possible. You can tell how much the other guys appreciate him & they would go nuts for him. & like others said he's a huge help when playing well.

For as much turnover as we have, it’s nice to get guys like Sestina and Travis to get some earlier leadership.

I think he came here because he wants to coach. He can land a job right now as an assistant at a D2 school, start working his way. He's got that coach-suave about him.
