It was very quick. Weigel and White's matched weren't shown on ESPN's main broadcast so had to watch it on ESPN3.
Next round is going to be tough on us. If Jacobi is injured that will be tough although if he is healthy should be favored. Liking where Joe Smith is as he has had plenty of time to recover when he sees Romero. Kaid has Turner from Wyoming whom he has split with in the past.
Geer has the #2 seed Rasheed so he has to be a considerable underdog.

However Jacobi was pitiful in his match and lost to the 33rd seed. He showed nothing in his match.
Joe and Jacoby did not act like they wanted to be there. That is disappointing.
I doubt they have gone this far and just quit. Injuries play heavy at this time of year. The effort given to get to this point is beyond anything the bulk of us would put forward. I am disappointed for them.
Big win for Geer to get to the Round of 12 tonight. I thought that Kaid and he had the lowest chances of advancing, but glad they proved me wrong.

I'm disappointed for Jacobe. He looked like a different guy 2 weeks ago so something is up?
Joe seemed like the weight cut got to him. He couldn't finish and was lethargic reacting.
I would've bet money on GFeller and Jacobe as AAs. Turns out they saved me 10 a piece.

They wouldn't have made it to the 3rd round of consolations if they quit. Might have run out or gas, but I think it's a bit much to say they quit.
You have to think Jacobe is injured or has something wrong with him. You are talking about one of the fittest and most dedicated guys on our team in his senior year.
He sure looked like he had no strength. All year he seemed to own the 3rd and could out muscle his opponent. The last few matches of the season and both tournaments he hasn’t looked himself. Early in the year I would have said top 5 if not top 3. Most surprising result so far.

I agree completely. Sometimes that is the case. Don't believe that was the case today. The other guy was better in those matches today. But our guys (Joe and Jacobe) showed no fire, no sense of urgency. Something is wrong. I know it is a long season that wears on bodies and minds, but to me (my opinion only) this was more mental than physical. I know both young men wanted to succeed, maybe too much pressure on themselves?
Overall a very good session. Disappointing for the two Smith's. To win all matches in a session on Friday is rare for any team.
