Fix vs. Trampe of Binghamton
1st quick takedown Fix. Escape trampe. Takedown fix. Escape. Over a minute in riding. Takedown fix. Escape. 6-3
2nd trampe starts down. Escape. Scramble takedown fix. Escape with 10 seconds left. 9-5 almost 3 minutes riding
3rd fix starts down. He’s out fast and gets an immediate takedown. Takedown fix cradles him up for 4 count. Turns into an assassin. Looks like he was pinned coaches challenging for 2 sets of 4 counts. Of course they confirm their call. Quick takedown after the whistle

lol refs wetting the bed on the biggest stage. Should have been a 4 near fall when he had the assassin after getting 4 near fall from the cradle, which would have gave him a tech fall. You'd think they would get the best refs for the biggest stage

Jo Jo is gased, up 4-2, rode for the 2nd, escape to make it 4-3, taken down for 5-4, and then ridden out for a 6-4 decision loss.

7-4, didn't see the last stall call.

Joe wrestled hard. Shouldn’t have chose down in the 2nd. Gassed a bit at the end. Very similar to Big12s. Unable to wrestle 6 minutes.

He should have never went to 165 he can't handle pulling the weight. He's looked gassed in almost every match at 165.

He did good against Bull, but not enough energy in the tank to finish.

Looks like Jacobe should not have chosen down on the Michigan State wrestler. He chose down and got ridden out, then his opponent chose top and rode him out and turned him. Hope he has enough gas in the tank to get the takedown.

Why are we choosing down against known strong riders??? Neither Smith should have elected to be on bottom.

Strange how we did not have that guy scouted to know he could only ride on the college level.

AZ Poke.,
I am with you on that. That just about cost Jacobe the match and it certainly did not help Joe.

He lost to the 1 seed by 3. Still plenty of time to see if the move was good or not.

That side of the bracket is going to be stacked. His Big XII showing which he was gassed most of the tournament put him in that situation. He has the ability to do well, but he shouldn't be at 165 this late in the season. He would have had an easier path losing the pigtail. We are going to see what JoJo is made out of this tournament. I think he can do well, but hell he chose to do everything the hard way.

More of a concern than the decision is that we have wrestlers who are struggling on bottom. I don't remember seeing Jacobe not being able to escape this year. Our performance so far is very concerning. Maybe Joe shouldn't have taken bottom but to place high you have to be able to get away. We needed better from G but he still has wrestle backs but based on his performance in his first match he is in trouble.

Great sign that Geer got out of the first period with no points. Not sure what Reenan's strengths are, but Geer generally trails in the first period.

I just have a feeling that team point we lost by not getting the tech in Daton's match might hurt. Bad Refs- two supposedly of the best in the country miss that not once, but again on review.
