Seriously, WTF is wrong with Antonio Brown?

The Raiders have now suspended him due to publicly posting the letter that he received about player fines, and then getting into it with the GM about it during practice. In his Instagram post, he also poetically stated.... “When your own team wanna hate but there’s no stopping me now. Devil is a lie. Everyone gotta pay this year just so we clear.”

What in the 17 is his deal?

I hope he didn't boost anyone's 2nd highest fantasy draft grade.

I know he's an elite player but he needed to be cut weeks ago. He's obviously got a few screws loose on top of an egregiously out of touch sense of entitlement. If he continues this behavior, what little contribution he's going to make it on the field for won't be nearly worth the bad press and headaches for anyone.

ESPN now says he is going to be suspended by the Raiders.

I have many Fantasy teams and he is not on any of them.

He's and idiot. You can't go off on the GM for fining you for missing a team walk through and practice.

He's crazy...

Ironically enough, I drafted him lmao

ETA: I think it was lost that my "2nd highest fantasy draft grade" comment was said in jest when I responded to a poster asking "if I get my QB info from fantasy football."

According to Ian Rapoport, he has been suspended for conduct detrimental to the organization which could allow them to cancel his deal worth a guaranteed thirty million. That’s quite the temper tantrum, Antonio, you showed them.

Antonio Brown has a brain injury. Probably from that hit against the Bengals in the playoffs a few years ago.

I absolutely loathed TO during his later years in the league, but AB has passed even his worst years by a mile. Roethlisburger was interviewed around a week ago, and when asked whether he'd change anything about the AB situation, he said something along the lines of... of course I would. It ruined a friendship

While most people would have just accepted that and moved on, AB immediately posted "Man, just shut up. We were never friends"

That dude is just angry at the world right now, and I have no idea why he would be

Word out of Pittsburgh was when Rooney went to go meet him in Florida and talk to him. He left and went straight to Tomlin and the GM and said trade him and get whatever you can get for him because he’s clinically insane.

Not making excuses for him, but "no reason why he would be angry at the world" is likely from his upbringing. I haven't dived deep into it, but it's extremely rough. He was homeless in high school I know.

Compare that to Josh Robinson...not saying equal talents, just saying he's overcome a lot and he's probably scarred from child hood, which he's really not that far removed from.

Not making excuses for AB, but he's had about as hard a life as you can have before he was drafted.

Having said all that, he's needed therapy and still needs it. Not sure if he's ever gotten any.

He seemed alright to me on Hard Knocks. Yeah he’s an arrogant rich ball player with a heck of an ego but Gruden and his teammates seem to love him. The GM has always been kind of a douche. His comments about AB and his helmet issues were counterproductive and unnecessary towards AB.

I personally think he should just shut up and play and quit being a drama queen but I’d just let Gruden handle it and let me play. Give the man his crap helmet and make him sign a waiver in case he does get injured.

GM needs to just chill. His personality and AB’s is like oil and water

I heard that none of this really had anything to do w/ his helmet preference. According to the rumor he failed to protect his feet during cryogenic therapy and his feet.....have issues.

That makes sense. He can’t play because of something he did off the field, so just create a diversion. I hope this ends horribly

I said the helmet fiasco wasn’t the end of it. Kidding aside maybe it’s CTE.

They should have a dueling diva contest between he and OBJ. It’s like a redundant snickers commercial

I don't really care about his upbringing. He's making millions to play a game and there are responsibilities that come with that. If you can't meet those responsibilities, regardless of your talent, you have to be held accountable.

There's no such thing as ownership and accountability anymore. It's always about how someone is a victim or it's somebody else's fault. That's the disease that AB has. Unfortunately, it's becoming more and more common. In AB's case, it's been enabled because he's a prodigious talent. IF the Raiders cut him, someone else will ride in on their white horse and "save him." That's probably what AB is trying to do.

The GM's comments were counter productive and unnecessary? Dude was blowing off workouts over a helmet. There are plenty of helmets for him to wear. Every player in the league has to comply with those rules that are there for their own safety.

I thought the GM's "you're in or your out" comments were about two weeks too late.

I don't necessarily disagree with a lot of what you posted, but if you've ever known many professional athletes you've probably heard many say that when it gets to that point it becomes more of a profession than playing a game.

1. Well, apparently he has some dick to swing
2. A reasonable person would have recognized that and acted accordingly
