[ORIGINALLY POSTED RIGHT AFTER THE 2020 MARYLAND GAME]
Last night got me thinking... We have not had a player graduate having played four seasons under the same coach since Hamady N'diaye in 2010. Crossing every finger, we are on track to have that happen next year with Geo Baker. (It could have happened this year with Eugene or Issa but, well)
Other schools have Senior Day/Night traditions in which the seniors are honored after the game and, along with the coach, make short speeches with the fans still in attendance.
Considering all that Geo Baker has meant to this program, I think next year would be the perfect time for Rutgers to adopt this tradition. And then (again, fingers crossed) we continue it with RHJ, Caleb, Montez, and Myles the following year.
Even if we don't go *all* out like Purdue or UNC, I hope we do something to make it more special. All respect to Akwasi and Shaq but IMO Geo deserves more than a one-minute walk, and really Pikiell deserves the opportunity to say a few more words as well.
