they were going to offer him a similar signing bonus. He has also turned down Indiana and Cal. He turned down 2.5 million to keep his 800k job. According to Gary Parrish he just says, "I make almost a million, and I don't spend that much, why leave where I'm happy?"

If you're making $800K per year, you've got more money than you could ever spend. More than that is just power and ego.
