Also, running the expanded numbers cleared up the Ruiz/Bianchi stuff. I'm sure if I worked it all the way through 33 it would come out pretty dang close. If there was a greater delay between when I started to do this and when they're actually getting released, I probably would.

There's a couple potential challenges in there, but it's pretty close.
That would be criminal, but Welsh got every break/questionable call to go his way throughout B10s so it wouldn't surprise me.
The issue is coaches ranking which is 10 points. How the coaches handle Bianchi will determine if he's 5 or falls to 7-8
Or the 10/11. I honestly hope he gets the 8/9 or the 12/13 would be even better. If he can knock off Welsh in the quarters it would be a way better path to the finals.
Looking at the matrix, I don't think he could slide further than 7th and that's only in a scenario where the coaches rank skews in favor of Brignola in the seeding matrix. That would basically put Brignola, Bianchi, and Ruiz with the same seed matrix record and I have no idea what they would use to break that up. Brignola and Ruiz split and Bianchi hasn't wrestled either this season. Bianchi has a better win % and RPI than either of the other two and it's not really close. It will be messy if that happens.
I think we see them both ahead of Bianchi in the coaches poll. What coaches saw last is hard to erase from the brain if it's close Bianchi will be behind them. A few years ago when they changed coaches ranking from 15 to 10 and put the 15 point value on conference placement it seems when things are close they weight the conference weekend results higher

I don’t think I hate our draws for the most part. With how poorly some guys are seeded, could be way worse
133, 141, 149, and 165 are not bad seeds. Block can roll with anyone but can also lose to anyone… but the other seeds are not the best. I believe 184, 197, and HWT are brutal.

Also, I’m just proud that Gabe has even qualified for the tournament wrestling 2 weight classes up.
We earned all the seeds we got. Overall, not too bad; but wished Angelo was on the top side.

Only path I really don’t like is Ben Kueter’s. That’s brutal.

That Top side for Rocco is a cake walk… in his defense he beat most in the field, besides Sinclair; but still was hoping that Angelo was on topside with him.
The top half of the 125 lb. bracket is legit insane.
Am I crazy to think that 197 isn’t the worst? I think it will be hard, but for being such a high seed, he has a small chance to win a couple matches…
As a wrestling fan, these seeds suck. I was pumped to see some of those matchups at 133, but now we're going to get the same matchups we've already seen during the season. I think it should have been (1) Devino, (2) Forrest, (3) Blaze, (4) Seidel. Man, this is disappointing.

I can't see Gabe scoring against Radamacher. 4-1 or 5-1 loss coming IMO.
133 went about how I predicted and probably the best possible draw for Drake as he would have Blaze in the 1/4s and Davino in the semis. He can beat both if he wrestles well. So far in 4 matches against those two he has let them control the action. Davino could be on big-time upset alert with Byrd potentially in the 1/4s.
125 DP 8...poor draw
141 Bailey 7...not bad from the 7 line. He can beat Vega, not predicting it, but at least it's a match where he can compete. Thankfully he avoided Mendez.
149 Block 15...no expectations. If he wins Thursday morning, Joy may run him off the mat Thursday night.

165 Mikey 3. Decent draw. Has Downey/Nebraska winner in 1/4. Should have Blaze rematch in semis. Avoids the 4 line!
175 PK 5. PK v Kharchla for the 100th time. Winner gets Haines.
184 Angelo got hosed and Welsh got a gift bracket. #2 Sinclair v Angelo potentially in 1/4 with Mac as the 3 seed. Welsh can stall his way through the other side with relative ease.
197 Gabe 27. Has Radamacher Thursday morning. No expectations
HWT BK 8. Mirasola is the 9 seed and ISU in the 1/4.
5 AA, 1 finalist, 0 champs. 6th place
Maybe our guys should have wrestled more for starters if we are going to complain about seeds.
Bottom of 133 and bottom of 184 are pretty ridiculous as well.
...I mean, Rocco also has no TDs. And at least Angelo and Mac were in on shots.
