Thanks for posting Hart. It was something that I've said a few times over at THR when they were initially bitching about it. This process started a long time ago, it wasn't a spur of the moment decision and just a shot in the dark type of thing. It was extremely calculated and a detailed process where the Bagleys were extremely impressive in getting everything on their end taken care of. The Duke staff was highly complimentary of them during this whole thing bc without their hard work this doesn't happen.
Great article thanks for posting. I'm so excited to see Bagley. I was talking about this with a friend who doesn't like Duke. I came to the conclusion that people are gonna hate Duke regardless; so we might as well be really really good. They asked Coach K that once and he said something like "well what do you want me to do lose?"

Pleasure Timo! Coach K does nothing without checking every detail, and being above board. Obviously as you denoted, the Bagley family was very proactive as well!
Yes Duke is pretty much hated by all the other schools and fanbases out there in Lala land because we are successfull. Its awful when you are hated for things you should have done but didn't. Its just fine being hated when you know you are a success because you have run your operation correctly.
Completely agree with you. To the rest of College basketball, and to a lot of Duke fans as well, it's win it all this year or bust. Every other fan base is begging and praying that Duke doesn't win it all every season but this one is more intense, and I tend to agree. Adding Bagley under the unique way it went down has made the target even bigger.
Just hope we win it all. It doesn't matter what Duke does the haters are gonna hate. Who really cares.I'm proud of the fact that a small private school is the best program in the country and it has been built in the right way. Coach K had Duke set up as a winner before the one and dones and he will still be a winner after the one and dones. Let them them whine and moan all they want to. OFC

Well whoever that coach was he had the same opportunity as Coach K had. It's gotten to be where some fans think Coach K to say "we're getting too many good players. Why don't you go to unc and play. Their coach has already assured us that their basketball program is clear. It's just not fair. They don't need another tragic season that could ended in a catastrophe like the 2010 season after winning the natty in 2009. That 2010 season just wasn't fair to them so we need to make things more even for them. If they have another season like 2010 their fans may be crying for a coaches change. If you go there I'll guarantee you and 5 others a starting position. " NNNNOOOOTTTT gonna happen. OFC

All very good guesses. Everyone has to be jealous of K. Peers may honor and praise him publicly, perhaps even give him an award, but professional jealousy of his accomplishments and the Duke brand are unavoidable.

The thing that stuck out for me in that video was the way Duval passes the ball so quickly. Wow.
