Harper on difference in second half:

“I think we played one of our worst halves of basketball of the season. We took punch in the face after punch in the face in the first half. We were lucky to only be down five, honestly. We told ourselves in the locker room at halftime to wake up and play our brand of basketball. We relied n our defense and that’s what got us here.”

Harper on defending Lamar Stevens: “I like the challenge. Lamar Stevens is obviously a great player. He was a preseason All-Big Ten pick and Player of the Year candidate. I think I did a good job, but I’m going to face challenges like this all year long. I’m up for any challenge and I’m not going to back down.”

It's not how you start, but how you finish

That start was as ugly as it can get, but no panic and tough defense let them crawl back into it and then take over the game late.
