What started as our deepest position is already our thinnest. How many CBs can get hurt? Worst luck ever or something else?
Now Bullock is hurt. Who is fourth string?
I was thinking the same, but I fully expect the 2 TE set and up the middle. I'm scared of the outcome, getting another beer.Fake handoff, QB keeper...
Don't like having to rely on the QB sneak for short down situations; went to that well too often a few years ago and we all know what happened.
The O-line needs to do a better job of holding the push for the RB.
The sneak was to kill as much time as possible. Not a "trust" issue.

Which true freshmen did you see out there. I saw Slater, Kuhbander, McGowan, Miller and Gallagher. Anybody else play?
There's no need to put your QB at risk at that juncture in the game.
It was fine when the 'Cats needed to score.
Jace James was in for a play.Which true freshmen did you see out there. I saw Slater, Kuhbander, McGowan, Miller and Gallagher. Anybody else play?
^ Freak or not, do you really want your starting QB to run 3 sneaks in the 1st game of the season?
The more times a team has to rely on a QB sneak, the higher the chances for a freak injury.
If the O-line were better, wouldn't be an issue.
Brown was in the three-man rush front to close the game.

Probably has as much or greater a chance of injury when he drops back to pass.
Sure. I do not care about my star QB running sneaks. The chances of injury are very low.
Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub will miss the rest of the season with a Lisfranc injury, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Coach Gary Kubiak said earlier Monday that Schaub was injured on a quarterback sneak coming out of the end zone late in the second quarter of Houston's 37-9 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. Schaub stayed in the game, but threw only three passes.
Tom Savage has gone into the locker room, reportedly for concussion evaluation, after a QB sneak on 4th and 1. Brock Osweiler has entered the game for the Texans at quarterback. I’ll get video of the play Savage was injured on as soon as I see it posted.
Bengals QB Andy Dalton
Injury: He tweaked his neck on a 1-yard touchdown sneak and came out of Saturday's game, but coach Marvin Lewis said Dalton will be fine.
Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. limped off the field at Memorial Stadium with what looked like a left ankle injury. He picked up a first down on a quarterback sneak and got his ankle caught between a few players.
Quarterback Collin Klein has left third-ranked Kansas State’s game against Oklahoma State in the third quarter with an undisclosed injury.
Klein scored his 50th career rushing touchdown on a quarterback sneak early in the third quarter to give the Wildcats a 38-17 lead. The Heisman Trophy frontrunner didn’t come out for their next offensive series and was seen talking to a trainer on the sideline
"From what I've been told by the doctors and the trainers it seems like it was the quarterback sneak," Harbaugh said.
Smith also took a big hit from Rams linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar at the beginning of Smith's final drive. But it was after the quarterback sneak, during which Smith buried his head into the pile to pick up the necessary yardage, that Smith first complained of concussion symptoms.
"He said he had the blurred vision after the quarterback sneak," Harbaugh said. "There's no telling. Did that earlier hit contribute? I don't know. I don't know Alex knows for sure, either."
Hasselbeck suffered the injury on a fourth-down quarterback sneak in the second quarter. He played the final quarter and a half with a cast, and had his arm wrapped and wrist immobilized for the flight home. He had more tests performed Monday, which found two cracks in different bones in his left wrist.
Which is why one wouldn't - being that close to the goal line.
Low does not = no chance.
Also, not quite as rare as you claim.
.
This was not a situation where the 'Cats needed to risk the health of the QB (and running the sneak twice, no less).
There's a reason why coaches tell players to stay off the ground in practice - as being on the ground (esp. when there are a ton of bodies flying around) is when injuries tend to occur.
^ That's just silly talk...
There's a reason why coaches opt to hand the ball off to the RB most of the time in short yardage situations and not have their QB run head first into a crowd of bodies (even tho the QB sneak has a higher rate of succeeding).
Can't agree. All of our linebackers have very good speed. Walsh is probably the fastest running laterally, and he had an excellent game. Hall was our second leading tackler, behind only Quiero, and Fisher had 4 unassisted stops. We miss Walker's pursuit at the LB position. Don't seem to have any speed at LB anymore
