Not a great performance by Marty. I know we’re rooting for him but as a senior QB those decisions were killers. Missed an easy TD, forced an unnecessary pick in the end zone when we had first and 10, and forced an unnecessary pick on first and 10 of our last drive.

Wisconsin and Purdue games could be brutal.

They have functioning offenses right now unlike Iowa. I felt like this was the game we had to win; the only one we had a realistic shot against a team that's as disfunctional offensively as us.

It's only his second career start but he has to do better. The QB has to win the games, period. Give me Kain Colter.

Game was definitely there for the taking. In addition to the picks, Marty twice missed wide open guys in the end zone, on sooooo wide open that Fitz’s mini-tantrum drew a (garbage) unsportsmanlike call.

We really had a shot at this. The D hung in there after giving up the two TDs early. Marty isn't the man and to be honest do we have a QB that can step it up to get the job done?

It mostly comes down to QB play. Like in 2019, we do not have a P5 QB.

Yeah I wrote in another thread that I felt like this game was way more winnable than Nebraska/Michigan/Minny because of Iowa's offensive woes.

Iowa's offense was horrendous as advertised; they can lose to pretty much anybody right now, we had to take advantage of that and almost did.

Feels like only Illinois game is left as winnable. I'll watch Wisconsin/Purdue but not expecting much.

The upside is that their running offense isn’t their strength. I’m much more afraid of Wisconsin scoring 70 than I am of Purdue scoring 70. Though both could score 50.
