Yes & No IMO.

It is very Top heavy though.

1. Alabama - clearly the best in the league
2. Tennessee - Had they been full strength, they could be in the E8.
3. Kentucky - Biggest wins of the year were sweeping Tennessee (Beat #5 Duke) and blasting Arkansas (Beat #1 Kansas)
4. Arkansas - Really good just couldn't put it all together.
5. Mizzou - Had good talent, just not good enough
5a. Vanderbilt - Got hot at the end but their lackluster 1st half of the season was horrible.

I think we had 3 too many bids. 5 should have been the ceiling IMO.

UK & UT was overseeded. UK should have been a 7, UT should have been a 6.

Auburn and TAMU should have not gotten in.

You make some very good points, but TAM was second in the league, second in the SEC tourney and was a 7-seed in the NCAA. ARK was 8-10 in the league.

How the heck you justify not including TAMU? They finished the SEC regular season with 3 or 4 losses and 2nd overall. Granted, they laid an egg in the tournament but you can't overlook their record.

Well I didn't really care for all the banging on our chests over how the SEC did in the first round or two anyway and said if we didn't perform it really didn't matter how the rest of the conference does. Still feel that way.

Probably a bit. Great athletes, good coaches. TAMU was a fraud, too much flopping and dependent on a whistle to win. UT can’t score enough. UK can’t score enough. Auburn was a mess a lot. Bama is legit. Mizzou just not good enough, but descent athletes. League is good, but Bama really the only elite team.

SEC teams all have the same problem-they can't put enough points on the scoreboard. Not enough good coaching and few quality scorers. A very weak group of teams.

Some teams thrive off the way the game is called during conference play. They get a rude awakening during the tournament. It pisses me off how Sankey has tried to push these non-basketball schools who just don’t have what it takes while trying to screw the one school that has a proven history. Dude is a weasel and I love seeing his plan take a massive s***.
