Started with 5 teams in the CFP

1 win against G5- Tulane
2 guaranteed wins because of SEC vs SEC matchups
Overall 3-4 record so far

Big Ten started with 3 teams in the CFP

1 win against G5- James Madison
1 win against the Big 12 Champs
1 win against the SEC
Overall 3-1 record so far

There really needs to be some backlash about so many SEC teams being ranked to begin years. And that translating to so many SEC teams being included in the CFP.

They didn’t earn/prove they deserved such high initial rankings this year.

If not for an Indiana and Oregon Semifinal matchup in the Semi’s, could easily have been looking at an All Big Ten Final this year.

The Death Star Buckeyes really screwed the pooch and now their fans want Ryan Day fired despite being the HC of the reigning National Champion. Why would anyone want to coach there anymore? That fanbase will just chew you up and spit you out even when your winning at s 90% clip.

Only NCs matter now, for the blue blood programs, everything else is secondary and immaterial.

It’s an interesting example of how no fanbase is ever really happy. A lot of teams want to be where Iowa is. Iowa wants to be in the playoff consistently. The teams in the playoff consistently aren’t happy unless they win the championship. So overall, there’s only one fanbase a year that’s fully satisfied, and all too soon that ends because the next season starts
