Just wanted to start out by saying thank you for an incredible season. The support over the last few months has meant a lot, and I’m genuinely honored to be able to cover this sport and meet so many different fanbases around the country. College football is special because of the true passion you all bring to it.

With the season now wrapped up and a bit of a debate starting to circulate online, I want to hear from you: who’s REALLY the best conference in college football, the SEC or the Big Ten? Let me know what you’re thinking.

SEC living in their own little bubble of delusion about the strength of their mythical magical middle tier.

Vandy - got smoked by Iowa
LSU - lost to Houston
A&M - lost at home to Miami
Tennessee - lost to Illinois
Missouri - lost to Virginia
Auburn - hasn't been relevant for 15 years
Florida - hasn't been relevant for 15 years

The SEC has turned into a complete joke and the rest of the country is laughing at them.

Iowa had a very nice win against Vandy, but your use of "smoked" is a head-scratcher. 7 points=smoked?

The SEC’s claim has always been that pretty much all SEC teams are good. So no loss during conference season is a bad loss.

When you lose almost every matchup against an opposing conference during Bowl Season, you don’t get to use that claim anymore.

They seem to live in their own little dream world. Teams from the mid and lower level of the Big Ten occasionally upset one of the top teams also. Upsets happen in all the conferences, it is not unique to the SEC. And doesn’t prove all the teams are good.

"Thinking?" What the hell has thinking got to do with it? That's like asking, "What do you think 2 + 2 is"? LOL

How about letting the facts speak for themselves:

The SEC was 4-10 in bowls, tied with the Mountain West for the best losing percentage.

The BIG won its THIRD STRAIGHT national title, with a third different team, and was 11-5 in bowls with one of the losses coming against a fellow conference member.

The Heisman winner is from the BIG.

Those are the facts, and they can only lead to this truth: The BIG is far better than the SEC. Period.

BTW: And no matter what you "think," 2 + 2 = 4.

The best center in college football was from the Big Ten. The best OL in the country...................... in the Big Ten! Best Special Teams returner, again the Big Ten!

They jumped out in front by putting up a lot of points early. The most dynamic passer in the SEC was set back on his heels and could not overcome it. Iowa had put the game out of reach!

Smoked? I think that is a fair characterization.

We needed to smoke a ranked team after this season ... kind of as an exclamation point.
