I just wouldn't pay 700 bucks for tournament tickets to an event we haven't won since 2018, especially considering we've got like 1 SEC tournament win since 2019.
How many UK SEC tourney games did you go to before Cal got here?

I’ve been to every SEC tourney game since Cal has been here.

We are 24-7 in 31 games. 6 titles.

Zilch, can't afford it.

And for those that are on the fence about it, looking at SEC tournament results since 2019 may drive them away from such a purchase. We aren't even talking about travel costs, and hotel expenses.

And if you wanted to go to Nashville and watch 1 UK game you could get 1 pretty good seat for $100 on the street.

Even less if you don’t mind the nosebleed seats.

Cal hates the SEC Tournament, he has said so NUMEROUS times. He would rather be home with his dogs watching Ice Road Truckers.

Why ANY UK fan would spend THOUSANDS to go watch the Cats win 1, MAYBE 2 games after how Cal has DISREGARDED the importance of winning it, seems mind boggling to me.

I used to go every year stopped going the year before Covid, haven't been back. I really don't like Bridgestone Arena. Liked it much better in Atlanta, the worst was when it was in Memphis at the old Pyramid. Nastiest Arena ever, even worse than the Superdome in 96 when Pitino threw the title game. The ticket prices have become ridiculous. Cals obvious disdain for the tourney has always enraged me considering the cost UK fans have to pay to see it. You can see his contempt and disdain for our fans when he discusses the " burden" of having to play in it. Same goes for his refusal to play holiday tournaments like Maui despite the legion of fans who scheduled thier vacations around them. Man I will be so glad when he is GONE.

I’ve been to Nashville for 3 SEC tournaments. I just got drunk on broadway and had a grand ole time with my big blue nation buddies. Good ole days, stopped drinking years ago and lost touch with my friend that lived down there (that I stayed with)

Good luck on sell

No wonder why UKBB4Ever likes Cal to suck, he gets to go to the SEC Tournament a day earlier. Was so pumped to watch BJ Boston and co. on a Thursday at noon.
Cal doesn’t suck and if he did I wouldn’t like it.

As for this year we can’t go until Friday. So we will have to miss a game if we play on Thursday. But we won’t.

We’re staying at a new place, (new for us, I mean), The Tommy.

Drop in and I’ll buy you a beer 🍺!

I don’t know of anyone that goes for the coach.

I’ve gone with Joe B, Sutton, Pitino, Tubby, BCG and Cal as coach.

And I’ll go with the next coach.

Maybe you have never been?

The SEC tournament is nothing if not a UK homecoming party.

If you think people aren’t going then just try to buy tickets.

Of course the UK fans want to win. But it’s more than that.

It’s just an awesome atmosphere when the big blue mist overwhelms wherever it’s held.

St Louis didn’t know what hit them.

Nashville knows the drill now. 👍🏀

I only like Nashville because it’s close. But it’s certainly not the best place.

I’ve always thought Atlanta was the best. Even though it’s a day drive.

But you can stay anywhere in Atlanta and take the train to the arena.

I’ve been everywhere it’s been held since it restarted in 1979.

Most fun was probably NO.

Worst was in Vandy’s gym.

It’s going to be in Nashville until
2030, I think?

Unless you're a fanatic about the SECT and go to every single session, I wouldn't buy an entire book. You can pickup early round tickets on the street for quite a bit less than face value.

Non UK game tickets are easy to get and cheap.

Many UK fans will give them to you.

I used to take off and watch the SEC tourney back in the day on CBS and then on SEC / ESPN. This year I will watch UK game live and maybe a good match up or three. I am taking off the Thursday/Friday for the first round NCAA tourney and going to have projector screen, TV's showing different games. Will make a weekend out of it.
I did both last year.

I always thought about going to the SEC tournament one day but I dunno..........I mean all that money. I love college basketball and would definitely check out some of the non UK games with how good the SEC is this season.

That being said, do I really want to spend money and watch like Georgia vs Vandierbilt? no probably not lol.

It is an expensive weekend trip. I only go to the UK games even though I usually buy a book. We can't go until Friday this year but 2 nights downtown with parking is about $1K. I figure we will spend about $1200-1400 on tickets. Meals and drinks for 2 and a half days in Nashville will push it to about $3K total. That's about normal. Saved money last year. The hotle let us go home sat morning after we lost without charging us for Sat night. Most won't do that. And we had only bought tickets or Friday night last year planning on buying from scalpers for Sat and Sun.

It worked out moneywise. The game not so much.

We live in Mt. Juliet (county next to Nashville).
We try to go SECT every year here. We have lowers in Section 101 this year..
Got them for what guys are asking for uppers on THIS thread.
All seats are good in Bridgestone MUCH better venue than Cat-lanta.
But ... you can't beat lowers.
Plus ... no hotel room for us just a 30 minute ride home to my bed.

Well, in fairness, not everyone can just go see a game during the season due to work or even finances. Many people save up just for the SECT and this might be the only 1 or 2 games they get to see this year.

There are a lot more reasons people go or don't go than just a hatred for Cal.

I’ve never been to the SEC tournament. But I don’t begrudge anyone for going. I certainly won’t talk down to anyone who wants to go and spend money on it. People spend their time and money on what they enjoy. Have at it.

A coworker is going. He said that either way it will be OK; If we get knocked out early, he said he will get to boo CCC.

I went to every game of the 1986 SEC Tournament and almost every game of the 1993 tournament. But those were at Rupp Arena.

A fan could buy season tickets for what they spend on SEC tickets and a room in Nashville for 3 nights.

I used to go EVERY year!!!

I went to my last one in 2011 when we won it. After that, I went to the NCAA Tournament instead. And since Cal has made it clear that he doesn't care if UK wins it or not, I REFUSE to go. Because let me tell you, it is NOT ONE BIT fun when UK loses in it!!!

And WHY would any UK fan go if the UK coach doesn't care enough about those fans that save up all year and take vacation days to go?????

It is just puzzling to me.

Yeah UK isn't allowed to play the SECT in Rupp anymore. Yet Duke and UNC gets to play their first 4 NCAAT games in state close to campus every single year.
