I’m too lazy to look it up, but didn’t we get knocked out of the SECT really quickly and even run ruled in 2021? Doesn’t seem to be an indicator of tourney success.
It means very little. I was a bit concerned that UMiss would jump our RPI and possibly take a regional host from us, but with them losing we're 100% hosting and no chance at top 8 seed. So bullpen it tomorrow. If we can't beat Missouri without using a weekend starter, we weren't beating Georgia anyway.
I think we got 10 runs ruled. It might have been twice. I believe they played at last two games back then.
It can be helpful but under the current format, if ya gotta play either Tuesday or Wednesday, you have to throw midweek and lower end of bull pen. Too many have learned lessons trying to pitch their Ace on Friday before and Tuesday of. Not enough rest.
It’s been a long time since we’ve done much in Hoover. Best showing in recent memory was two years ago when we went 2-2. We haven’t made it to Saturday since 2013.
We were indeed run-ruled twice in 2021. I was so disgusted with the way we whiffed, I knew we were never getting out of the regional.
Bisnco was not going to survive going 0-5 and he knew it.
You really have a talent for finding something to beatch about no matter who's playing.
Were you watching the game? Did you notice how many times the TV cameras showed an empty Missouri bullpen while their starter was getting hammered? If so you should be familiar with it under Lemonis and whoever his pitching coach was. So many time ms over the past 3 seasons. We would have back to back walks or hit batsman to put two on and nobody out and our pitcher was 0-2 on batter 2 and a mound visit occurred BEFORE ANYONE GOT UP IN THE PEN!
I had a rooting interest in THIS game for Ole Miss to lose! They did! I’m happy!

I said it before the tournament started that SEC umpires were going to be shown with ABS challenges how exactly terrible they are! I mean really bad and has been so all season.
