I hate to sound like a ref complainer, but let’s call a spade a spade at this point. We had one call go out way today, and that was a missed goaltend. Otherwise, we were bent over on so many ******** missed calls on Mizzou. SEC has one goal as always, get teams into the tourney at the expense of Kentucky. It’s been happening since I started watching this league in 1978. It’ll keep happening until I stop.
yep. seen it since 75 here. definitely a pattern. saw it from the re-ionception of when the SECT came back. Same results from the refs, differnet names.

Amazing how many of these games we win 8v5.

I remember in 2014 the Cats and Gators played 3 times. The Gators won all 3 but each game got closer and closer with the 3rd in the SEC tournament if my memory is correct went OT. The Cats were an 8 or 9 seed that year and they almost played the Gators again as both team went to the Final Four with UConn beating Florida in the semis and UK in the Finals. I really wanted the Gators in that final game. I do not think they would have beat the Cats 4 times.

BG had that guy baited and we receive a tech and a FT and the ball, but he couldnt help it , had to shove back .. hes a fool
Garrison did absolutely nothing wrong. Phillips came into the uk group mouthing, then pushed Garrison. I don't see it a two way T, at all. In fact, I like BG standing his ground in that situation. He didn't push and didn't go after Phillips. His arm came forward but didn't appear to make contact. Rather, more of a momentum thing from being pushed by Phillips first. Phillips shouldn't have been where he was to begin with.

This. We way their coach cries the whole game he might have told him to draw a tech

Not arrogant at all. I think we lose tomorrow. Just love pointing out how stupid some on here look when constantly calling for Pope to be fired even during a game we are winning.
A lot of folks don’t think a win against Missouri of all teams is an indicator for success. At least wait for Pope to beat a decent team like Florida before bragging.

I never said it was an indicator of success. Again, simply pointing out how stupid it looks to be calling to fire a coach mid-game, even when we’re winning. No proclamations about being a contender. No saying we are great. Just that people look stupid they way they react at times.

Get it?

We let a 16 point lead vanish and nearly lost the game. It’s one of many of idiotic mistakes that people understandingly vent over. Pope has hardly done enough by “Kentucky standards” that deserves wanting to keep him around.

And? They had the best player on the court, were playing to guarantee a tourney spot, and we still won. Venting is fine. Continuing to say Pope needs to be fired because we can’t handle Mark Mitchell (not exactly embarrassing) makes people look stupid.

Glad we won of course but holy crap, I had to jump on a meeting and we were up 14. Looked at ESPN afterwards and down by 1

Mitchell was out of his mind and we obviously got tight.

Being relevant.
Except it has always been like this, even during our "relevant" years. Zero Final Four Tennessee has TWO former players employed by the SEC Network (and I like Bradshaw much better than Dykes/Bilas/etc.). Zero national titles Auburn has a former player analyst over us (and I like Fishback, he's always been very fair to us). Arkansas, a non-original league member, even has one (two if you count Little Jimmy coaching Hawg Women). Historically we're better than all three and even recently we have been more relevant when it comes to national titles.

Personally I think it's ridiculous that Kentucky and Kansas are the only original Blue Bloods with no former player or coach analyst/announcer on ESPN or CBS while you can throw a rock and hit a Duke and UNC alum (even IU is represented by Creepy Crean), but their grads are in high positions at those networks and want to keep the favortism train rolling, I get it. We'll see how long Mashburn lasts at TNT, which is still relatively new at covering college basketball, I guess (ESPN only had him cover pro ball when he was there and cut him loose rather quick compared to some). But not having one representative for THE Blue Blood program that helped keep the SEC relevant nationally for decades on our own conference network? IDK, seems like an odd and deliberate choice by SEC higher ups 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I agree with most of what you had to say in response , but BG did raise his arms and make contact in the process of shoving him back. At some point you have to ask" why is the same guy in the middle of mouth running fest every damn time " ? And he did push , to say he didnt isnt being true to the facts on this one

These kids have no idea how stupid they look doing that shoulder shrug flex after a dunk or a really good play. Why do you have to celebrate that way, you didn’t just knock someone out, you just made a good play. Most of the ones that do it are small and weight 180 pounds, it’s just funny to see them act like they are the baddest dudes on the planet after dunking or something. Ours included.😂
