Good question. Georgia maybe. Tennessee?

Might be another down year in the league.

I really think there is something to the myth that the SEC gets so much publicity in football that the NCAA doesn't care about the SEC in basketball.
Therefore, they try and even out the deal somewhat.

VU - highly depends on who we hire and if we retain our players (Baldwin and Jones are gone). We still have two NBA players on our roster in Kornet and Fisher-Davis and have a bunch of elite shooters. We just need Clevon Brown to enroll and we need a quality coach.

I'd love to see what a different coach (quality) could do with this roster. I still don't have a feeling as to whether we hire a 9/10 or a 6/10.

I root for the other SEC teams but I expect it to be another horrible year, outside of UK.

The league does nothing for us.
I only care about Vanderbilt doing well. I could care less about the other 12

Shouldn't matter next season as the Cats will be no-doubt #1 seed, but in the off years(such as this one), these ********** SEC bball programs need to get their *** in gear so they don't drag down our RPI, which is apparently what the selection committee ******** place the most emphasis on in the seeding process. IMO.

My take. These 4 teams are going to be the best after UK. The rest of the league...lots of unknowns, but it's going to be shaky.

South Carolina - returning Dozier, Thornwell, Notice, Silva, Stroman
Recruits - C Keita (Rivals #82)

Georgia - returning Frazier, Maten, Paul-Geno, Edwards, Jackson
Recruits - G Crump (Rivals #74), G Harris (Rivals #95)

Florida - returning Egbunu, Hill, Chizzo, Robinson, Allen, Allen, Francis, Walker
Recruits - G Hester (Rivals #87)

Mississippi State
- returning Newman, Ready, Weatherspoon, Holman
Recruits - F Kegler (Rivals #29), C Herard (Rivals #34), G Carter (Rivals #62), C Ado (Rivals #72), G Peters (Rivals #78), G Wright (Rivals #94)

Obviously some guys could still go pro, but Howland has a great incoming class and the other 3 teams were decent this year already and return some very key players.

Mississippi State should finally break out....Howland was reportedly offered his old Pitt job again and he turned it down. Must like what he is building in Starkvegas. Also think Pearl and Auburn could make a run at being a tournament team.

Auburn is a year away. They lose their top 4 scorers on an already ****** team.

A&M should be okay, if Tyler Davis returns (rumor is he might go pro). If they return Davis, Hogg, Trocha-Morelos and Gilder. Bring in some new talent. Their banking on being good would be based on Kennedy as a coach, but lets not pretend they didn't lose 4 very, very valuable players.
