The three teams listed would have been a tall order for any team...they are most likely better than any teams anybody would play. Weak arguement imo. might give ya the bad habits point. if undefeated youre not complacent.
Playing quality kids every day in practice should though. GBBOriginally posted by katkraze:
playing a bunch of weak SEC teams 2 times per week doesn't prepare a team for the NCAA final 4.

Heck Donovan may be leaving Florida and they will probably become permanently mediocre. Maybe Pearl or another coach can step up and give UK a challenge once a year. But the SEC is usually weak and will likely remain weak.
Yet they won it the year before beating Duke by 30Originally posted by probasketballfan:
Same thing happened o UNLV in 91. Playing in a watered down conference did them in when they got up against good competition..
With so much parity in college basketball this is a stupid post. The SEC is a very physical conference & was better than last year. One team last year (Florida) doesn't mean the overall conference was stronger last year...and it wasn't.Originally posted by BrandonQuick:
If you can't see how playing mediocre to poor teams
for all of January and February is disadvantageous, I'm not sure I have the ability to explain it to you. And someone else called the Big 10 weak? With two FF teams?
ACC teams do not play the teams you listed 'night in, night out', there are other teams in the conference. If you're saying Duke is in the championship for that reason your just....STUPID!! They have talent. There a good team. They played good their last 2 games & that's what it comes down to: playing good at the right time.Originally posted by BrandonQuick:
so playing against, duke, Virginia, Louisville, NC state, and ND night in, night out wouldn't have better prepared your players and team for the toughest three game stretch of your season? I don't have a point?

Moron, UK played North Carolina, UCLA and then AT Louisville. I'd say playing 3 Sweet Sixteen teams in a row qualifies as decent. Don't post if you don't have any clue. Step away from the keyboard....Originally posted by BrandonQuick:
You hadn't played three decent teams in a row all season, much less three good teams. That was a function of your conference affiliation.
Well....we beat the only two ACC teams we faced....including your dirty program Tarheels. UNC is a joke to college basketball.Originally posted by Bombur:
