One thing I noticed- 4 out of UK's first 6 SEC games on the road including trips to UT, Vandy and South Carolina. Brutal stretch to start conference play.

Plus that road trip to WVU. Young team is going to have a tough time early but will be battle tested and coming together for a nice March run.

I wonder how many times Cal will be "farrrrrr" early in conference play after some of those tough road games. Can't wait haha

Our January schedule is brutal. I will take 6-3 and role with it, February isn't as daunting, but still with a tougher SEC it isn't much easier. Good thing is since the conference is harder we can take more losses and still get a decent seed.

With that schedule I am thinking 22-9, but still a four seed.

Our road conference schedule is nasty this year.
True, but UK will always get a tougher SEC draw since we are guaranteed two games with Florida, two trips to the state of Tennessee where we always have trouble in Nashville and Knoxville, plus the two remaining teams are set up based on TV ratings. Notice it's Missouri who is an up and coming team with a excellent recruiting hall, and A&M who UK has a classic game with every year at their place.

Beat Kansas and I think we have a good shot to be undefeated on Jan 1.

Something is weird here. Each team plays all 13 teams at least once. They play eight teams only once, and five teams twice. Each team has three "permanent" home-and-home series, and the other two teams are scheduled on a ROTATING basis. I believe that this was supposed to be a five-year plan. (10 teams rotate plus three permanent teams would complete the rotation). In UK's case, they play Tennessee, Vandy, and Florida twice. In 16', they played LSU and Alabama twice; in 17' they played Texas A&M and Georgia; this year they are playing Missouri and Texas A&M AGAIN. Is there something wrong?

I think besides the three permanent rivals the SEC simply places the remaining opponents together based on TV ratings. There doesn't seem to be any kind of rotation. Also it helps with our SOS so might as well just go with it. For example, Missouri and A&M will help our SOS more than Auburn and Mississippi State this season, plus more people will tune in especially when UK is on the road.

Also notice most of our Saturday SEC games are on the road, it's because UK has a higher chance of getting upset and more people are watching on Saturday, so again TV ratings.
