I never trust the SEC in the tourney outside of Kentucky (this year the outliner).
-No Cracker Jack arenas
-No refs who fall for the fans’ antics
-No t-shirt, hard hat nights

it doesn’t mean it’s not tough to win on the road in the SEC or they aren’t good teams. It’s just those factors help them get wins during the season and that’s just not a reality in a neutral site

I don’t really care about any of the other teams, we lost in the 1st round. I wouldn’t have cared about any of them if they all lost and we won, either. Don’t care about the conference. Care about my team.
I half agree. I want to see our conference do well but a)once we are out I could care less. I root for all upsets and
B)I will never ever root for tennesee, florida or auburn ever...unless it's against Duke or unc, then I root for a tie.

I wouldn’t be surprised if TN is the only one that makes it to the second weekend….

Again people want to have this narrative about being "battle tested" and playing in a tough conference.

I've seen this story enough now to make this think it's a load of crap. With the Big 12 all the years they said they were good to the Big 10 last season that got seemingly every team in to the SEC this season.

Maybe going through a brutal regular season conference schedule HURTS teams more than helps them.

It sure seems like it, although the computer rankings generally give a good approximation of conference strength, and our top 6 teams compare favorably to the top 6 in any other league.

It's becoming obvious the SEC wasn't brutal.

This. I don’t care if the SEC is good. It hasn’t helped us any. In fact since the SEC got better we have gotten worse. So the rest of the league can go back to being doormats for all I care.

Why? Because of the tournament results? I think the SEC proven this year at least at the top that they were the best conference in America.

Why does this happen to seemingly every good conference come tournament time?
What excuses will we come up with next?

I think the answer is obvious. It's too early to call TN but the rest have done nothing.

I suppose Auburn and UT could still end up in a final four.

Alabama and LSU the writing was kind of on the wall tho I figured they both get one win at least in this thing.

I don't see Arkansas doing much either.

Bama was erratic all season as was LSU.But it helped us when we lost to talk about how great the SEC was and would kill it in the tourney.Well.....

Yeah Bama was so up and down u just never really knew what you were getting from them.

LSU was so one sided. Good defense. No offense. The type of team that usually does go home early in these things.

True. I also feel like Auburn has been walking on shaky ground the past few weeks. It will be interesting to see if they have righted their ship moving forward.

It’s just bad matchups for the SEC. I think our conference got the hardest seeds to play against.

I'm of the mind that it doesn't matter.

Every team is playing hard in their conference games. They all play multiple games a week. They all play an opponent that's striving for victory. These are all D1 athletes close or at their physical primes, not shlubs from the local Y.

Regarding the SEC and B12, the B12 only has 10 members. The 10 best teams from the SEC matched up favorably with the B12. The dregs of the SEC including Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina, and Mississippi were all far worse than any team in the B12. Georgia and Missouri were especially bad.
