SEC Media Days

[PBRME]

Did miss the conversations or is there that much apathy? Because I’m lazy I always rely on this board to let me know the the dates, times, and who’s speaking. Hadn’t noticed any threads so I looked up the schedule. It was last week. Wtf?

Pure apathy in my opinion. They spent most of the time talking about Clemson whipping Alabama. There simply are no storylines and we all know the SEC championship game will be Alabama and Georgia.

Was a very boring, mundane media days.

With sports news and talk available 24/7/365 now, events like media days are quickly going the way of the rotary phone.

I think its become much more of a social event than a sports news event. But hey, media gets to make their preseason predictions and All-SEC lists so there is that.

I think they should bring back the SkyWriters and dismiss Media Days.
All the reporters and radio show guys just fly around the SEC for 2 weeks and do a day in the life.
Reports on best traditions, best pregame activities, Facilities, stadium/locker room tours, do a segment or 3 on one player from O, D, etc.
Do a segment on restaurants, bars in the college town and then hit the next town.
Run it on SEC Network for 14 straight days beginning Aug 1 or Aug 15 until all the schools have had there “day”
