I'd have Ole Miss last with new coach Kermit Davis. Arkansas no lower than 11. Mike Anderson will have his team thugging it up to outperform what is expected out of his team. Not as good as year's past but I don't he's at the very bottom. SC, Ole Miss & perhaps A&M all before after A&M losing what they did and under performing most of last regular season.

I have lived in Alabama 40 years now and I have many AU friends. With that said not one of them can name one current AU basketball player this year or last.

Long time AL resident as well, with several Auburn friends. A few of them are aware of the utter embarrassment that D. Pest has inflicted on their struggling program. They are absolutely embarrassed by the cheating lying abomination that currently coaches there.

When Chuck Person got arrested I asked a few of them what we're their thoughts on the arrest. Everyone of them asked what happened. It amazes me they can tell you the name and number of everybody on the football team but none of them care the least bit about basketball.

Lol Bruce is the most universally loved man on campus.

Recall they had to hang curtains in the old arena to hide empty seats. D. Pest has made their current marginal performance seem disgraceful in light of their weak history and apathetic fans.

Yeah Crean should be able to do better than Fox. Unfortunately UGA not looking too hot this season but might not be long before he gets you in the tourney mix.
Yeah we definitely won’t be much this year. I don’t think we’ll suck necessarily, but there probably won’t be any post season play.

I don’t know any of the pimple poppers on campus. Likely they are too ignorant about basketball to know what scum leads the bottom feeders of the SEC.
Was more a figure of speech. Every AU fan young and old loves Bruce. Hell all the UT fans still love him.

Oh well all the elite corches have haters. You guys know what that’s about with Cal. I like Cal fwiw.

We have some good fans from other teams like that one UGA fan . This deminvest guy can't be taken seriously nor do I think he is even trying to be . The 2 AU fans that post here as if AU is some basketball powerhouse are beyond laughable. Au had one good year and even in that they were beat by 50 pts in the 2nd round of the tourney. There is very little chance they equal that success this season but they will still be pretty good. But after this year they will go back to being an middle of the pack SEC team. If they had gotten EJ they might of even had a chance at a final 4 this season as they haven't had a talent like that in 30 years ( a top 10 lotto pick) .
As ridiculous as his posts are, he’s serious.

I like Bruce and think he's a great coach, but you're high if you really believe that AU will be better than UK after PJ, Nick and Green came back and we picked up Reid.

This UK team has the potential to be very very good the only variable is whether they get good enough guard play. And Cal has rarely had a problem with guard play, especially with all the talent we have at guard.

I'm not a sunshine pumper but this squad should be nasty.

I don’t think anyone really cares about the conference tournament. A lot of good teams get bounced in the big tourney every year it happens.
Does the sec tournament victor get an automatic bid to the ncaa tournament? Uh yes. SEC tournament is much more significant than sec regular season title on that basis. So your foolish statement doesn’t hold much water. And as there is only one champion of the tournament each year, of course good teams and lowly au get bounced, every year. Has au ever won the sec tournament?

I just like that a AU fans pic is of Cal and Pearl shaking hands with a caption that says ‘Brothers’.... lol. Nonsense. They shouldnt even be mentioned in the same breath let alone compared as ‘brothers’. Dont ever compare anything Auburn to anything UK
Cal and Pearl don’t like one another so yes that’s funny lol

Yeah but UGA is trash. Auburn is preseason top 10 across the board and defending champs. I’m not much for brown nosing just trying to talk some ball here.

Yea AU will be good but Georgia is still a better bball program by far. You don't have to brown nose but don't act like you run the SEC, because you don't and never will.

Some U6 fans still love Pitino. You comparing Punkin Head to Ricky Perv? If you actually think all Tigger fans like that lying cheating scum bag, you really have issues. Many are concerned that when he gets caught again, he’ll drag football into the seven pits of hell with the basketball team.

I think the scum coaching the Auburn Tiggers is proof that marginal coaches have haters, particularly when they are admittedly morally bankrupt lying cheats.

As a practical matter winning the reg season is an auto bid. Auto relatively high seed. We did get a higher seed than the SEC tourney champs for the record.

Oh, you mean that seed where Punkin Head barely squeaked by a 13 seed and was destroyed by 31 in a 4/5 matchup? The seed he wasted?

The Tigger season ended in massive failure. The biggest mystery to me are a few fans that don’t recognize the nose down impact with the lying cheating Punkin Head as a coach. I guess it demonstrates the wretched nature of the program to consider that flameout a success.

No it isn’t. Your higher seed resulted in the expected flameout in both the sec and ncaa tournaments, for the record.

The conference tournament is a warm up to the big show. Last year Auburn was the perfect example. Got run in the conference tournament and then again a week later by an average Clemson team. But whatever makes you feel better about your team bro.

Actually, no it’s not. There are plenty of smaller schools that win their regular season in conference and get upset in the conference tourney. Guess what? They no dance. Regular season champ in any conference only gets you an auto bid to the NIT. That’s it.

Now usually a P5 conference team winning their regular season is enough to get you into the NCAA tourney but it is NOT a lock by any means. Usually a solid verbal yes though.

Heh. I can remember years where UK won both the SEC regular season and conference tournament and get a 5 seed if that. Granted the SEC sucked but yeah winning your regular season with out the conference tourney is not nearly as impressive especially when your conference is down. (Granted the SEC is up these past couple of years.).

And how did that higher bid seed play out for you? The NCAA did you NO favors there. No reason AU should’ve been that high with their injuries. A blind man could’ve seen their early exit.

Yeah it was disappointing. Of course the SEC in general was disappointing. UT lost an 11 seed in the 2nd rd. You guys lost to a 9 seed. Don’t think it makes much difference for this coming year. We had a lot of adversity we won’t have to deal with. Lost one of our best players down the stretch hopefully avoid that as well.

Typical AU response, AU fans only care about what they have won. AU won the West in football but when Ga. won the SEC Championship they said well we beat Bama and won the West. However, they did not figure that Bama would win the NC.

But you will still have a lying cheating punkin head for a coach. No matter what happens, he will bring shame and disgrace to Auburn and the SEC.

They will crash in the end. And you will fail to realize how wretched that program is under Punkin Head. Just like this year.

Nah nobody said that. 2 different sports. Obvious big difference in a 4 vs 68 team playoff we all know that.

Why do people still give this fool the attention, don't reply to his threads, ignore him. If you reply to his utterly ridiculous terribly off based biased 'opinions' that he pretends are facts. Then he will keep posting this nonsense, don't let the stupid auburn>UK nonsense rile you up. Obviously no one outside of a very biased Auburn fan considers the national title favorite, the clear cut #1 team in the country going into the season, as the #2 team in the SEC. Denim knows so himself that it's a very stupid statement to claim Auburn is better than the #1 team in the country and he knows himself that the #1 team in the country/national title favorite is obviously clearly the heavy favorite to win the SEC. The question isn't will UK win the SEC, that's already locked up, question is do we win the championship game or are we the runner ups?

He even said TN and Auburn aren't in the same class as if they're 2 completely different levels, he doesn't believe that no one is truly that dumb he is just trolling with all these ridiculous statements. Saying Auburn>UK next season is very obviously a bad trolling attempt. Saying TN isn't in the same class as UA is a very obvious trolling attempt. But any UK fan with half a brain is much more scared of TN next season than UA.

I know I contributed to the stupid trolling attempt by replying to this terrible thread. But just don't you all, stop. It's easy to spot a troll that's just saying nonsense that he doesn't believe in order to rile us up. When denim is saying Auburn>UK under 8 different accounts, it couldn't be more clear that he's a troll just saying outlandish statements to get under people's skin because legitimately no one believes UA is even in the same galaxy as UK next season. No one. Not even Denim or his 8 other accounts believe that, he's just trying to get under your skin you all. Don't let him.

Here’s what we got less than 5 months before the season tips off:

1. Auburn
2. Cats
3. UT
4. Miss St
5. LSU
6. UF
7. Vandy
8. Mizzou
9. Bama
10. TAMU
11. S Carolina
12. Ole Miss
13. Arkansas
14. UGA

Top 3 look like potential 1 or 2 seeds in the tourney. Top 6 are tourney locks. 7-10 bubble teams.
They'd be even better if they had a tall, lanky, scoring machine, like EJ Montgomery, he's our top ranked recruit.

Top ranked according to some, but I truly consider Hagans and KJ the head shoulders stars of our class. EJ is a monster, he's great. Just think those will be 2 of our best players alongside PJ and Travis. EJ will be great too. Not shorting him in the slightest.

Is Mustafa Heron still on the team? That will be a huge loss if he isn’t...
No, but they'll have Wiley and Purifoy back which should easily offset the loss of Heron.

Kentucky should be the best SEC team, probably Tennessee or Auburn next. But Mississippi state, florida and LSU are all talented and deep too, should be a great year for the conference.
