Here’s what we got less than 5 months before the season tips off:

3. UT
4. Miss St
5. LSU

7. Vandy
8. Mizzou
9. Bama
10. TAMU
11. S Carolina
12. Ole Miss
13. Arkansas
14. UGA

Top 3 look like potential 1 or 2 seeds in the tourney. Top 6 are tourney locks. 7-10 bubble teams.

Also anyone that puts AU above UT isn't paying attention to reality either . What the real power standings will look like will be something like this

those are the teams who have a good shot to make the tourney so no need to rank beyond that really. Arkansas will be the worst team IMO in the league.

Well I think you can make a case for UK at the top. UT isn’t in the same class as Auburn. Scrappy bunch but the talent isn’t there.

Not that schedule is factored into my analysis but UK probably has the toughest conference slate.

They got the stud PG Waters. Oregon transfer Kavell Bigby. A top 5 crootin class. Seems like enough to cruise into the tourney imo.

I have no issues with a homer AU fan ranking his team #1 in SEC pre-season. Games are won on the court though and we shall see who wins the SEC regular season and SEC Tourney and goes further in the NCAA Tourney.

Bruce is absolute trash and couldn’t keep it between the lines even if he’s sober. Outside of Pitino he’s the dirtiest and most foul coach in college basketball. I’m from Knoxville so don’t try and sugar coat this turd of a coach. A turd is a turd no matter the amount of polishing you Auburn fans do

Thanks for your thoughts. We certainly love him on the Plains. Probably only behind Cam on my all time favorite AU people list. Chuck and Bo obviously way up there as well.

We have some good fans from other teams like that one UGA fan . This deminvest guy can't be taken seriously nor do I think he is even trying to be . The 2 AU fans that post here as if AU is some basketball powerhouse are beyond laughable. Au had one good year and even in that they were beat by 50 pts in the 2nd round of the tourney. There is very little chance they equal that success this season but they will still be pretty good. But after this year they will go back to being an middle of the pack SEC team. If they had gotten EJ they might of even had a chance at a final 4 this season as they haven't had a talent like that in 30 years ( a top 10 lotto pick) .

Of coarse. There isn't a dirtier coach in college then Bruce. He is a good one for sure but dirty as they come . I promise you when he is fired it will be because of this not his results on the court.

Regular season champs, which, meh. And UK should’ve beat you at home easily (we had a boneheaded end to the 2nd half). And would’ve beat you in the SEC Tourney given the chance. I think we take the SEC with ease, but UT is going to be our biggest challenge. We don’t play well in Knoxville.

He’s really not but I guess those outside the know tend to feel that way. He was an out of shape ball hog that didn’t even sniff the back of the draft. We got 2 better guards coming back. Purifoy is better than him. Throw the beast that is Austin Wiley in the mix damn it’s a beautiful thing.

I have lived in Alabama 40 years now and I have many AU friends. With that said not one of them can name one current AU basketball player this year or last.
