Strangely, all but two are day games.

Ark at A&M is 6 PM and McNeese at LSU is at 6:30.

The LSU game being in prime time has caught a lot of flack but at least it’s stashed away on SECN.

Whoever decided Arkansas vs A&M should be on ESPN in Primetime is a moron. That might be the worst game played in the SEC all year.

I'll take Vandy, McNeese, State, Mizzou, SC, Auburn, and Arkansas. If one of them wins, I'll look like Nostradamus.

I think when that decision was made everyone thought A&M would be a top 10 team at a minimum.

And like it or not, Arkansas vs A&M is a pretty big rivalry game that catches eyeballs every year regardless of records.

Everybody thinks every year that A&M will be a Top 10 team at a minimum, but by week 6 or so their fate has reverted back to the previous years mediocrity. Year after year the Aggies and the Catholics get the benefit of the doubt more than any other 2 teams

Also ABC is Miami vs. Clemson. That's a big draw.

3 home games in the noon window. 2 in the night window. 2 in either afternoon or night window. Honestly it's the even split every other sec school should have - with the school's choice of when to schedule their FCS game.

LSU getting 4 night, 2 afternoon/night flex, and 1 morning game is a slight problem. But 2 of their four are joke SECN / SECN+ games, 1 was Clemson week 1 so kudos for scheduling early big game, and 1 is Aggy.

So us and LSU both got 1 SEC Home Night game, 2 SEC Home Flex Afternoon/Night game, and 1 SEC home noon game. Our 5th sec home game is noon.

Aggy, Bama, UK, SCar getting away with 0 SEC Noon home games is the real villains here. Auburn got the most screwed imo

SEC still runs through birmingham.

I would argue that ESPN/ABC kinda played itself when they decided to start locking game windows in 3-4 months ahead of time.

I get that the old way of doing things where 99% of games times weren’t announced until 12 games ahead of time was a little less fan friendly. But man doing it the way they did it boxes them into some weird situations once games play out and the season goes differently than expected.

Case in point, look at the Week 7 schedule. There is a world where you have two different Top 10 matchups in State/LSU and Florida/Texas both kicking off at 11 am.

There are surprising teams and upsets every year so I don’t know about locking a bunch ot games into time windows that far out. There’s gotta be some middle ground between the old way and the new way. But heck I’d argue the old way was largely fine?

I think the old way was a LOT less fan friendly. And ESPN/ABC doesn’t look at the time slots like most of our fans do. They want a premier game in ALL time slots. Noon, afternoon & evening. It’s just that for so many years their premier noon game was a big 10 game & cbs had the afternoon slot exclusive (except for the SECN game). So all the big sec games (& most of the small ones too) were at night. That not the case any more. This weekend their night premier game is Miami-Clemson. Thus most sec games get pushed to noon or afternoon.

I get it, just don’t love it.

The TV deals of a few years ago made this all a lot weirder. Big Noon taking off on FOX and ABC not having access to Big 10 games anymore meant the SEC was going to have more early games. Just tough for fans in the South especially early in the year.

A few years ago Ohio State-Iowa would’ve been at 11 am on ABC, State-Bama would be kicking off at 2:30 on CBS so I guess it’s all just flip flopped a little.
