Ah, things are becoming clearer - The only two remaining games that will decide the fate of the SEC bowl implications are Ole Miss - LSU this weekend and Alabama -Florida in Atlanta. I have my picks next to the bowl game I expect will happen ..critics welcome

Winner Florida v. Alabama - National Championship - ( Florida vs Oklahoma )
Loser Florida v. Alabama - Sugar Bowl - (Alabama v. USC )
Georgia - Capital One - (Georgia v. Ohio State)
Winner LSU v. Ole Miss - Cotton -(v. Texas)
Loser Ole Miss v. LSU - Peach -(v. North Carolina)
South Carolina - Outback (South Carolina v. Michigan State)
Kentucky - Music City - (Kentucky v. Wake Forest)
Vanderbilt - Liberty - (Vanderbilt v. Tulsa )

Arkansas and Auburn will not get to six wins - therefore the SEC will not have enough teams to qualify for the Papa Johns and Independence

The Peach Bowl really wants Vanderbilt. If Vanderbilt beats Wake and Tennessee - they are headed to Atlanta.
The Music City has had Kentucky the last two years, could see them getting South Carolina and UK headed to Memphis.

The Independence will get Notre Dame. Papa Johns may end up with Troy.

people who end their sentences with multiple periods as if there's more to the story, they just aren't willing to say it. Quit being a @!$$@!% idiot. If you have a point to make, make it.

Why wouldn't they?

our bands plays Dixie, but I doubt that it is true. I also highly doubt that the Peach wants Vandy. Nobody wants a team whose fans won't buy tickets and stay overnight and spend a lot of money. Cute stories don't buy tickets and beating UK, UT, and Wake (I know we lost to them early but that wouldn't happen now-they aren't that good) won't be that impressive to non-alumni fans.

For some reason I remember when Oklahoma lost their title game but was already in the BCS championship game then got rocked by USC. Was that the year auburn got screwed out of it. Would the same happen with Alabama and Florida when Florida beats that ***. Alabama better lose too those rednecks slashed my tires at the Ole Miss Alabama game when I was visiting friends. Paul is dead you damn rednecks.

BCS Championship game- Alabama vs Oklahoma
Sugar Bowl- Florida vs USC (Oregon State to the Rose)
Cotton- LSU vs Texas
Citrus/Capitol One- Georgia vs The Ohio State University
Peach- South Carolina vs North Carolina
Outback- Kentucky vs Michigan State
Liberty Bowl- Ole Miss vs Tulsa

Yes, I think Bama will beat UF. NEVER count out Bama, especially when the SEC is involved.

I see Ole Miss in the Liberty, Cotton, or Music City.

Ky in the Liberty or Peach.

Vandy in the Music City(they travel like ****), or Liberty.

traveling to road games and traveling to bowl games are 2 different deals.

And the Music City won't take Vandy b/c that doesn't bring any new money into the city.

Ok, here it is in a nutshell. The Peach Bowl doesn't want Ole Miss because of the band plays Dixie. I have heard that sentence directly out of the mouth of a Peach bowl official at a game in Oxford a few years back. And I apologize for the multiple periods. I do live with three women, which might explain that.

tech will drop out of the bcs. whether its right or wrong, they would be leapfrogged by oklahoma and probably fall behind texas (who is at 3 now). since a conference can only get two bids, tech may fall to the cotton. either way, i don't think texas is in the cotton.

i think it'll also be interesting if, as you say, florida loses to bama, to see how far they slip in the bcs - they could be shut out, if they fall behind usc, ohio state, boise, and utah. i can't believe the sorry big east gets an automatic bid. they should've taken that from them after bc, miami, and vt bolted. the acc still has their orange bowl bid, too.

That being said, maybe you should stop playing it then.

For one thing, if the Peach didn't want Mississippi, why did they send someone to your game? And how dumb would he have to be to go around announcing that even though he was there, his bowl really didn't want you after all.

...would be a blowout of epic proportions. It would drive home the point that the Big 12 is a lot stronger than the SEC this year.

The SEC bowls will be scrambling to get the best games they can this year w/ the conference being "down" and the economy in the *******. The Pappa John's and Indy bowls are in trouble. Also, why not just ask OM to not play dixie (is the song really that bad? i don't think the KKK has adopted it yet and GA didn't get rid of their confederate battle flag until '01) during the game?

is that they were very accomodating to us in 99- they encouraged us to bring cowbells and they even played "Who Let the Dog's Out?" over the loudspeaker before out KO's.

I can't imagine that they wouldn't be accomodating to Ole Miss, or anyone else that they choose.

...is (or was if he's not involved anymore) a MSU alum which is why we went to Atlanta several times when Sherrill was coach. Right?

but what makes you think that Vandy will travel well to a cold, ****** bowl game when they won't even bring 1,000 fans 4 1/2 hours away when they're ranked in the top 15 and 5-0 to play a game in beautiful weather against a ****** team like ours?

that was the point of my post. I just know that Kentucky doesn't travel well, yet they sold out the MC Bowl 2 years in a row.
