I'm not a huge collector of jerseys but I did buy a Yankees Don Mattingly replica when I went to a game at old Yankee Stadium.

I'd been following him for years ever since my aunt told me about this kid from the high school where she was teaching who got drafted by them.

I had one of these beauties in the mid-90s. A decade later my then wife tossed it (accidentally) during a bout of spring cleaning. You can buy replicas now but I'd pay good money for an original like the one I had.

I was at Game 3 in Oakland. Was about 7 rows up from the field, down the 1st-base line next to where the Dodgers relief pitchers warmed up. Was watching Dodger Jay Howell warm up. His warmup didn't look good, and I was letting him hear it.

The As sweep the Red Sox and got swept by the Reds that year.

I've posted this before but Ebbets Field Flannels has this sweet 1950 MSU road jersey reproduction. They're hand-made so not cheap ($215), but really high quality stuff if you've never shopped there.
