Looking to move my group of seats in the Upper Deck down to the first two rows of the 2nd Level.

Does anyone have a seat in Row 1 of the Upper Deck?

If so, is the railing in the sight line of the first row seats?

Thanks.

From what I've heard from other Upper Deckers ( I am one also) is that there isn't a problem with sight lines, the problem is that during rain or snow you end of with your feet in a puddle/on ice.

I was in the 1st row for many years until throwing in the towel last year. The puddle is only in the first row. The railing may be a problem for smaller kids but they can stand up and look over it. I usually found myself simply leaning forward and looking over it. I think the view is fantastic from there and will try to get tix in a similar location when I start buying season tix again.

I'm in the first row in 209 and love those seats. The sight lines are only affected by the message boards that take away some of the vision of the lower deck seats, but doesn't affect the field view. One benefit to the railing is that when our offense is as ineffective as it has been the past 2 years, you can rest your head on it and doze off. The puddles after heavy rain are an inconvenience, especially since there's a drain under my seat that's useless because the floor is sloped away from the drain.

1 st row...would never move...even for seats much closer to the 50 but higher...I'm more like the 20 and perfectly fine

puddles can be a pain...but sight lines great and nobody ever stands in front of you when you feel like sitting...

RU#s has tickets in the first row and shared them with me this year vs Purdue. I have to say for watching the game unfold its absolutely great. My only negative is that you lose some of the crowd energy vs sitting down below.

Looking to move my group of seats in the Upper Deck down to the first two rows of the 2nd Level.

1. Does anyone have a seat in Row 1 of the Upper Deck?

2. If so, is the railing in the sight line of the first row seats?

Thanks.

1. Our crew has been located in the 1st and 2nd rows of the upper deck since the stadium was expanded.
2. No problems with sight lines from the 1st row.

We were in the first row for many years but when the team switched sidelines we moved too and have seats in rows three and four of the upper deck. As some mentioned, puddles can be a problem in the first row but it's not that big a deal. Great view from up above as you can really see plays unfolding.

I'm in 230, so the corner of the (old) open end third row. Any of the first three rows have great sightlines (even in the corner). Front row gets to bang on the ribbon scoreboard to make more noise lol. Biggest problem I have is the first two rows usually get sold on stub hub and have away fans. So come sit near me and were good.

Our ticket group has seats in the first row, the third and fourth rows of our section. For some of our women-folk, they definitely find the railing to impede their view of the near side of the field. I found that I can see the field okay, but if I want to look down at our players on the near sideline, I have to lean forward a bit.

I'd say if you're 6' or more, you'll be okay seeing the field over the railing. If you're less than 6', might be a bit more difficult.

The past couple seasons, I've moved up to to row three and find it's a bit more comfortable. I like to lean back and slouch in my seat during the game, which didn't work as well in the first row due to the railing.

Warning!!! I sat in row 1 for a long time, great seats. However I sat in seats 1&2 on the aisle and because the fence and the aisle stairs meet there, the fence was extended up about 16" so I spent 11 years looking through this box in the fence, The better row is 2 if you want to sit on the aisle.

^^^Here is your answer, @S_Janowski.^^^

I’m in the 3rd row in my Section too. Best one IMO:

1. No worries with the puddle thing
2. No worries with the railing for your view
3. It is also the shortest with the seats starting at #5, which if you get the aisle like I have it makes it very easy in and very easy out.

As somebody said earlier, I’ll only move closer the the 50 if I get to keep the same Row and Seats.

Go for Row 3 and start at Seat 5.

You’re welcome, you can thank me later. ;)

Yea, good choice. I have aisle seats in rows 3 and 4 upper deck. The men's room is right at the end of tunnel too. Great seats.

All good info from everyone. Didn't think I would find that many people who sit in the first row.

You can't beat the vantage point from the 2nd level. Blows away a lot of other seats in the stadium.

Depending on who else is around you the vibe can suffer.

That is what some of us would say is the only difference.

Had first row seats on the aisle for three years. Great view. Rail no issue. BUT as others have said when it rains all the upper deck cascades down to year feet and does not drain away. Moved to lower level. Much better.

I'm in section 207 row 4. Absolutely love the people around me and the view is out of this world. You see everything without the railing interfering.

People need to stop banging on the electronics. Bang at home on whatever you want.
