First regular season loss in almost 2 years...no halftime adjustments for Vic...very similar to game against USCe in National Championship game two years ago.... no 1st half subs and run out of gas.

T wasn't showing any energy... she just stood around. Vic saw it too... especially after the missed shot where she could have gone for the rebound, but instead just watched it bounce away and let Danbury go get it. Vic will bench you if you don't have drive.

Hats off to Oregon. They played their their asses off and hit damn near every shot. That's what it takes to beat a top-5 team.

Girls didn't play their best last night, no denying that. T and Danforth got some tough foul calls (especially early) that hurt us in the end. Oregon made dang near every shot. No adjustments to combat the high-low pick and roll. Who knows, maybe jetlag since they were finishing the game at nearly 11 pm central. The bottom line is that Oregon played better than we did last night. Like Rick Cleveland wrote in his piece on Vic, there's a lot of room for improvement with this team.

My hope is that this will be a learning moment for anyone (fans included) who think that it's as simple as just bouncing the ball out there and walking away with the W. I see a lot to like with this team, but the biggest hole is leaders. Virtually any of the 4 seniors from last year would be the undisputed leader of this team. Hopefully someone will emerge as the season moves forward.
