And that’s VERY conservative because anyone Who said “tickets” plural, I only counted as 2. If someone said “family tickets“, I only counted 3. So you know that number has to be much higher. Dayum.

Do you buy season tickets every year? Just curious because you haven’t said. Personally I’ll keep buying to support the team and school. Joe is going to drown whether I’m there or not.
And that’s my point. How many fans not on here tonight or who don’t even read six pack, are feeling the same way? If this isa Snapshot, it’s an ugly one.
Boycotting the program is not the answer. This is what small time programs do.

We talked about not getting them for 2019. Probably will talk more seriously about 2020. It’s sad because we’ve had season tickets since 1993 and it’s great time spent with my dad. But it’s getting hard to miss out on nice fall Saturdays where work around the yard/house/property could be getting done when Moorhead’s teams are boring, quite honestly...and it ain’t cheap getting 5 season tix....and I’m still chapped about kick rocks / pound sand / bob from Bogue Chitto comments. That hit me the wrong way. I used to think Moorhead was a great guy but I think he’s pompous now. And I emailed a long, but respectful, email to Cohen after the Egg Bowl stating the same. He replied saying we all want to do better and things were being done to make sure they get better. Said thanks for reaching out and he’d share with Joe....but it may be too late.
I get what you’re saying. I really do. But this isn’t high school football. The damn investment is HUGE. The school keeps upping the ante with ticket prices, cost Of tailgating tents through southern traditions, hotel rooms and real estate prices. So they expect us to approach it and keep going all in with our emotional tie to the school and program all while they’re treating it like a business? And that’s not why we’re mediocre. We went to mediocre when we hired Joe Moorhead. The fans were there for him and as we can now see, it didn’t guarantee that we wouldn’t be mediocre.
I am also gone. I have been buying season tickets since the Tech and 10 season. My 4 tickets will be available for some other sucker to have. I grudgingly wrote my Bulldog Club last week because I made a pledge to do so. Until the fight, I was still willing to give Moorhead the benefit of the doubt. After that, it confirmed to me that the team is totally out of control. Allowing Willie Gay to play today sent a signal to the other players that the can do whatever they damn well please without consequences. If I should desire to go to any games next year, I'm sure I can buy all I want on the secondary market at way below face value. I do know if I will be satisfied if Moorhead is fired and Cohen stays because at this point, I have no confidence that he has the judgment to hire the next coach.
So funny you ask this ... I usually read but rarely post, and don't contribute to the BC and don't buy season tickets. But that's mainly been b/c I have young kids (7 & 6) so haven't been able to make it to any home games (about 2 1/2 hours away). So I made the comment to somebody the other day that, since my kids are getting to the age where I can start taking them to games, there'll be no better year than next year to start buying season tickets (since I'm guessing there will be a lot of good ones up for grabs).
It’s all Mullen’s fault. I was perfectly happy with JWS and even Croom. All I needed was an occasional bowl game and maybe an upset or two but noooo Mullen had to make me believe. It’s not just the product on the field, the entire fan experience has declined over the past few years. I really hate it because the players who make a commitment to this university deserves a commitment from the fans in return.

I gave up hoops tickets during the Ray era because it was too hard getting up there in midweek for that crap show... and I doubt I’ll ever get them again because other priorities have taken their place. I suspect if I ever do give up football it will be the same. Which, again, is truly sad to ponder because I might have missed 5 home football games since 1993 - when I was 11....It’s always been a part of our family and I almost feel guilty not getting season tix. Bottom line the games just aren’t fun anymore. And it’s hard to spend that much money when it’s not fun. But man I would miss going to Starkville. Born, raised, educated, graduated a Dawg.
Small time programs pay their coaches pennies while pocketing millions. And then feign surprise when it turns out that the good coaches leave and their replacements aren't as good, and we're left with a bunch of bad coaching.
Small time programs don't make the hard decision when it's obvious what needs to happen.
Small time programs can't open or stock all of their concession stands 7 times a year and run out of everything. They can't get fans into the stadium in a timely fashion. They double the fees for parking while making it twice as hard to actually park.
They are saying 17 u to all of us. How long are we supposed to thank them and ask for another? Hell the tv money basically gives them the ability to tell us to 17 ourselves as is -- and that's exactly what they've chosen to do. Instead of parlaying it all and thus being and acting like a top 20 program nationally.

You have to figure season tickets will drop by at least a third in 2020. The product and the experience is no bueno since Joe arrived. Apathy and anger reign supreme now. I pray for apathy. I damn sure won't be buying season tickets in 2020. I used to attend 4 to 5 home games every year. I might go to one next year.
Giving up our two season tix in Section 19 next year. Too expensive to watch terrible football at 11 am every week when I can get way cheaper tix on the secondary market for the few games we have that might be interesting enough to attend.
I’ve said in other threads I’m not a season ticket holder. I have two kids age 5 and under. I only made 1 game this year and we had to leave 1 behind. In the past, before the kids, we usually did the mini pack. Once the youngest gets to where we dint need a sitter, we will try to make 3 a year. I’m not trying to misrepresent myself as a season ticket holder, which is why I haven’t suggested that I was.
Rank in the 800’s. Been giving since Mullens first year for me and my wife. Also give in another account for my daughter. I will pledge and give $1 in each account to keep them active and will not renew either set of my season tickets. I had 10 and 4 together. I made every excuse under the sun for him about last year and also this year with tutorgate. But tutorgate was essentially over egg bowl week. UK curb stomped that Louisville team with a WR at QB and attempted something like 3 passes!!! They got better as the year went on and we obviously got worse!!!! We beat a better UL team 2 years ago with a RB coach as the head coach and a bunch of GA’s!!! Also that UL team had one of the NFL’s hottest QB’s on it!!!
if what engie says is true about our surplus, why would anyone contribute money to the program just to help build an exorbitant rainy-day fund? the cash isnt going to improvements, recruiting, gameday experience, or coaching salaries, which begs the question, why even contribute if it isnt pushing the program forward, merely enriching the coffers to some unknown end? its madness.
I will renew. It is not to support the coach but to support the players, they committed to MSU and I will support them.
I'm gullible and got talked into thinking we may not be that bad this year and bought in this year. I may go to a game or two but I won't be buying season tickets. I do worry however that we turn out like Ole Miss football or even MSU basketball with low fan turnout and a perpetual storyline on ESPN about our stands being empty and it bleeding into recruiting. We need to make this right before too late.

I am unable to buy tickets because of the distance but I have contributed to the BC. I will now look for other places to put the little bit of money I have to contribute in to another area of MSU and encourage you guys to do the same.
