Memphis game… we all know what happened with the refs. That happened on special teams and cost us the game.

We miss 3 field goals against LSU and lose by 2

We lose by 3 tonight after missing 3 field goals and get screwed on a flop after we make a 4th down stop when they call a holding.

special teams and officiating have legitimately cost us 3 games. Absolutely brutal. Could very easily be 8-1. I imagine Leach will be searching for a kicker to contribute this off-season or at the very least just not lose us games.

offense absolutely did enough to move the ball and get us in scoring position and win this game with relative ease. Sucks it had to end that way. I enjoyed the game though. Fun atmosphere, close game. Still have a real shot at winning all 3 down the stretch. Need to go 2-1.

Honestly Leach should pull a Freeze from 2014.

Just get ready for Ole Miss and screw the rest of the games. TSU should require little prep anyway.

Our special teams coach should be fired tonight! Our punter has gotten worse all season also.

Kickers being head cases and not executing their job isn’t on the coach.

By that logic we should’ve pushed to fire Foxhall after Cerantola continued to struggle

Kickers are gonna be kickers. The debacle at Memphis never would have happened if we had just picked up the damn ball on the punt like every high school team in America does. That one play should be enough reason to fire the special teams coach.

Don't forget the leaping penalty against LSU that kept a TD drive alive. I noticed us doing it on their extra points too but it was never called.

I’ve told my MSU and OM friends even before today that MSU was the best 3 loss (now 4) team in the country. And I don’t mean that snidely, either. Y’all are a legitimately good team. Your season has had some crazy swings. Down 20 to LT, but win. Then losing to Memphis and LSU in games you beat yourselves. Beat the dog **** out of a good A&M team in college station, and beat the **** out of a Top 15 Kentucky team.

You were better than Arkansas on the road today, too. The difference was their K drilled 2 long kicks and y’all missed 3. That’s not on the team and doesn’t take away from how well you’re playing.

I’ve said for weeks on here, even when most of you and most Ole Miss fans were convinced Ole Miss was significantly better.. that I’m worried about the Egg Bowl. And I’m even more worried than I was going into yesterday. Y’all are getting better every week, and we are a shell of ourselves offensively, right now. We started a DT at RG yesterday, who’d been in the DL room all season until this week. It’s BAD. I feel like we will be lucky to get to Starkville with Corral healthy.

We're going to be fine. I think we'll get the ST worked out. Leach cares too much about every aspect of his team to not get it corrected. It's not his fault we don't have a reliable kicker. He obviously can't do anything about the refs.

He's holding open tryouts for kickers, so he's doing all he can.

I agree with all that, but let's also be honest and say we did not play well against Memphis, LSU, Alabama and Arkansas. It seems that the 'breaks' go your way when you are playing hard, whether that's turnovers, referees, etc. Arkansas played hard yesterday, they were at home, got the breaks, and won the game. Similar to Memphis and LSU, and obviously Alabama just out-talented us.

Doesn't make the refereeing suck less though.
