Didn't realize that the Huskers play them both next year....... Both looked solid last night. GBR!
We have a tough schedule next year. Not fretting.... I like having quality opponents for non conference games.
Not taking anything away from Cincy, but UCLA looked terrible and UCLA still had a shot to win. Take away the two dropped fumbles by UCLA's QB and they might have won.If Cincy keeps this up, they will likely be in teh market for a new coach after this year. Luke Fickell (sp) will be a hot name if he has another good year.
I wouldn't be shocked if he stayed a while. He went to HS in Ohio, played in Ohio and has spent his whole coaching career in Ohio. When he said he wants to build something at Cincinnati, it sounds genuine to me. There's enough talent in the area that he can probably recruit most of his team within a 250-mile radius with the relationships he's built the last 20+ years. Last year, he was supposedly offered and turned down the Louisville and WVU jobs, both of which are still in the area. I'm guessing if he were to jump it'd only be for a handful of schools in the area that won't be looking for coaches anytime soon.If Cincy keeps this up, they will likely be in teh market for a new coach after this year. I thought UCLA and Minn looked subpar plus they were playing teams with chips on their shoulder and nothing to loseNot taking anything away from Cincy, but UCLA looked terrible and UCLA still had a shot to win. Take away the two dropped fumbles by UCLA's QB and they might have won.

That may definitely be true. But, I would just respond with: depends WHO comes calling. Not saying USC would offer him the job if Helton is jettisoned, but if so, I would think turning down a job like that would be difficult. But, I dont know the guy, so who knows.
Exactly. Come on, by year 3 Frost is supposed to really have things going. Even most of the more pessimistic of Husker fans who can't seem to see at least 8 wins this year say next year is the year. If we have trouble with those two teams in Frost's 3rd year, we hired the wrong coach, plain and simple. As if how each team played yesterday has anything to do with next year anyway. If we are fretting about S Dakota st and Cincinnati in year three then we might as well have kept Mike Riley and company and saved a bunch of coin.
This year’s schedule looks like the easiest for several years. Hopefully we can take advantage. We have a tough schedule next year.
