Translation of slow start usually means poor shooting.Stats to see would be points made in the first half versus the second and who made the points.

Scrimmages aren't real games, so slow start just means whatever Pike was working on early in the game was less effective than whatever he was working on later.

If so, you didn't find scrimmages useful? You just want to go from practicing with your own team straight to the first real game?

For fans hoping to get info to base season expectations on...for the most part.

Difficult to put much stock into these scrimmages because each coach usually approaches them differently. Win or lose the most important thing is that nobody gets injured.

Groz knows scrimmages are important for players and coaching staff. DIrect results, score, etc. is not.

Players need to play against someone on other teams
