Usually it's snap oversteer that destroys these cars when the doofus lifts.... but this guy NEVER lifted! Kudos to him. All that to prove a point to a clapped out Integra that literally has the word "junk" on the windshield!

The saying "play stupid games win stupid prizes" has never fit better.

"I have regrets" would also suffice.

By now his insurance company has no doubt informed him this will not be covered.....sucks to be him.

The junk decal was not missed on me. Reminds me of my high school days. My neighbor was a spoiled kid who had a brand new mustang. He took real good care of it and never got too rough with it. He made quite a few mods to it too, so it looked fast and was fast.

Anyway, people with crap cars were always challenging him to race. His response was always, "sorry I don't put my car up against junk"

I didn't think of the insurance angle but yeah, that sucks. Probably got a citation also. Not a great day for that guy.

With the value of these things it will ultimately be rebuilt .

I guess it's possible and I wouldn't put it past somebody to try...but if that motor and trans are broke, and they might be, that wouldn't make a very good builder even if they gave it to you. I owned a body shop for 15 years and I wouldn't touch it...plus 99% of banks won't loan money on a salvage title so it will take deep pockets from a buyer to make that happen. I think it will be sold for parts personally.

That dumbass just can't drive as the Viper was set up to race straight from the factory with it's V-10. The Viper was Carroll Shelby's modern day Cobra without the markings except for the badge on the hood which is the head of a Cobra viper style.

Here is a link to a case in point. Guy gets a new Nissan and thinks he is automatically Ken Block. This happened in Omaha last Saturday outside a supercar Saturday event. My wife's coworker sent her a text with the video, but I could only find the video on a reddit site, but here is a link.

Thinking maybe cold and/or old rear tires let loose and dude just kept the hammer down. More HP than brains. Lucky no one was hurt or killed.

Back end tried to pass the front end. If he'd lifted he would've just wrecked on the other side of the road. Pretty clueless.

Can we now add street racing professional to go along with our 4.2 speed and 400lb bench press?

It’s really hard to say without inspecting the car.

I’ve fixed cars hit a lot worse, but it depends on what damage there is we can’t see.

It’s worth noting that a Viper like this is worth 65k if it’s an average car. If was a nice , low mileage car, it’s ceiling is a lot higher.

I was a passenger in a 70 396 with cowl induction. The driver was stone cold sober but drove like a drunk. Scared me so much I never again got into a car driven by anyone who was (A) impaired or (B) straight-up crazy.

I can relate. I took out my co-worker to cruise around in my Mustang back in the 80s. After a couple of 180s and a 270, my friend stopped talking to me. LOL

my brother owned a 67 396 chevelle, his friend would sit in passager side, and I was in back seat..it was like floating on air when he would burn out. I'd like that 70's ragtop, cherry red one with Go Big Red plates...

Somebody who has fixed cars wrecked worse than that has pictures...I'd love to see them.
