it'll be Robert Johnson on defense. Indiana thinks he will make big defensive plays early to get the early lead and set the tone.

That's possible. However on offense those two guys are problems for UK. Any team with a big wing is. Briscoe is only getting better but he can only do so much giving up 4-5 inches on defense.

If Hartman starts I would go to Poythress early and often. He can't matchup at all there.

I always appreciate when opposing fans give input, but I have little use for those who just want to come in and talk smack. At least be constructive.

If I were an IU fan, I'd be a little bit worried right now given the poor performance of Mich St and Purdue, who were in your conference and appear overrated. Maryland looked like crap today, too but won because the opponent screwed it up. Ever wonder if perhaps the improvement of IU had as much to do with weak competition as actual improvement?

Anyway, we'll find out tomorrow.

And just for the record, I never have any trouble with Indiana until I interact with their fans, who are very arrogant and rude and refuse to acknowledge anything beyond the end of their own noses. It's a shame really that so many people spend so much energy hating the way IU fans do.

Meh how they play has no effect on us. We know our ceiling and how good this team can play, they just have to execute it. Just because MSU and Purdue had letdown games doesn't matter much to me. You're last paragraph is very funny. As a Mod i'm sure you read the majority of threads and comments towards Indiana and its fans on here.

Robert Johnson is the key player to watch. How he goes early will be key. They will be looking for Johnson early I guarantee it.

I'll disagree and say Troy Williams and Anunoby are more important. Both guys are matchup problems for UK at the three.
I'm nervous for this game. UK's defense is not good either and they give a up a lot of open looks from three. To a team like IU that is bad news.

I have to agree with @RR30. Johnson is more of that steady player you don't notice throughout the game. Troy though is almost the stir that makes the drink, he didn't get good Troy/bad Troy for nothing, if he's on thats big for us. Going to be interesting to see what Crean does with Ulis/Murray. Some say Yogi chasing Murray and Johnson on Ulis, some think OG on Ulis, though i'd rather him be on Willis. You'll likely see a mix of both. Murray and Willis are the two that scare me. That and Briscoe getting into the lane and getting Bryant in foul trouble. Might see Johnson on him.

I meant to ask you on the national board, why aren't you using the @Da_Bull account any more? Bookies take it away from you?

OG would be an interesting matchup for Ulis with his length, but Ulis would blow by him all day imo.

haha short story. I made a joke about male pornstars getting aids from monkeys. They deemed it a racial comment, poof ban, apparently they're cracking down on racial stuff. The betting thread was a troll ha.

You would think that, and i don't think he's gone against a guard as quick as Ulis but OG is quicker than you think. He might be the most athletic player on the court tomorrow and that says a lot considering the guys UK has. I think you'll see several guys on Ulis but they won't be scared to put OG on him for spurts or to switch on screens.

Should be a great game, not coming to flame but Foosier has a great point. Bagging on the B1G when you play in the SEC is not a logical argument. There's not one fan in America outside of the SEC that would say it's a better conference than the Big Ten or any power conference for that matter outside of the American.

I agree with the above posters assessment. The biggest mismatch IU has is Troy Williams/Anunoby. Troy can be a difference maker or he can be a huge detriment, the sad thing is you'll know exactly what type of game he'll have in the first 5-10 min.

The difference maker for UK could be Labissiere. If he's able to consistently knock down midrange jumpers and block shots I'm not sure we have an answer for that. Obviously when Murray is hot there aren't many people in America who can lock him down. Should be fun!

UK is usually pretty good every single year, regardless of SEC. SEC strength/weakness is not all that relevant to UK. IU is not good every single year--this is not a constant-- therefore it is more relevant to correlate Big Ten strength/weakness with IU than it is to do so with the SEC and UK.

That breakdown was dead on IL Wildcat.

No, I'm not one for ever coming to this site or one for flaming. But came to look this morning to just get a different insight from opposing team.

Before I get to the game, the whole bashing Big Ten and now IU fans bashing SEC is silly. Who cares. Whether the conference is good or not has nothing to do with these two teams. UK has won a recent title and Florida won a few titles several years ago and the SEC hasn't had a really good conference in many many years.

To me Skal/Lee is the difference because they are a lot more athletic than Thomas Bryant. The offensive rebounds, back door cuts and oops scare me along with shot blocking ability.

On IUs side, I think if good Troy shows up today, him and OG will be the toughest match ups on your side.

I'm not giving a prediction but I do think UK is rightfully the favorite, I'm just hoping for a great game.

Going to be exciting! Go Hoosiers!

Yeah, our game with IU was on a neutral court. Yours was in ***. Hall. Huge difference!

Aside from that, there is no comparison between the UK team that played Ohio St and the one Indiana will face tomorrow. It's night and day.
Same can be said about IU. This isn't even remotely the same team that was beaten badly by Duke. Blackman was still playing, OG wasn't, and Morgan wasn't.

Alice, it's Blackmon, with an O. And his absence may have been a positive for the team, in making others step up, but his absence will hurt you today because he is still the 2nd most talented player you had and he could create his own offense. These other guys who have replaced him are pretty much spot up shooters. And if Ulis shuts Yogi down, that's when he helps. The addition by subtraction theory sounds good, but I expect if you lose today you'll be wishing you still had Blackmon.

Ehh dont get me wrong i love blackmon but we've got plenty of offense without him. Troy and Johnson can create off the dribble. I think blackmons absence has helped our ball movement more than anything.

Da Bull is a jerk to UK fans, or at least to me on the national boards. He made a personal attack on me and I blocked him. At least I know his alias so I can block that too. I don't want to read the crap he writes.
