I'm sorry to start a thread about Scott Frost. I think most of us are tired of hearing about him. My dad works in Omaha and he confirmed for me that Scott was an alcoholic. Scott was showing up late to practices as a result of his drinking issues. Dylan Raiola de committed from Nebraska because Scott was drunk and couldn't visit Dylan due to him being drunk. Ever since the Huskers fired Scott Frost, I have been trying to figure out what happened to him and why things went so bad. I finally know the whole story. My dad also said that Scott Frost's wife has left him. Therefore, the rumors that personal issues were affecting his coaching were true.

I just wanted to let you guys know what I heard. Isn't it nice to finally hear what happened while Scott was the coach. Scott Frost should have been an excellent coach for the Huskers. He turned out to be a bad coach due to him developing personal issues.

I hope he lands on his feet and figures stuff out. He brought me a lot of joy as a player and he is a Husker for life regardless of the feelings now.

Nebraska is in a better spot now and I harbor no ill will for him as a man.

If he is an alcoholic, then he needs to go into an AA clinic. Alcoholism is a nasty sickness and he needs help. I hope he goes after the "right" higher power to get dry for the rest of his life.

I wish him the very best, he was supposed to be our chosen one. Thank the lord for Trev Alberts.

If these issues were known by every Tom, Dick and Harry, then one has to point the finger at Ronnie and Trev for enabling him (and hurting the careers of people Scott was forced to fire). I like Trev and he appears to have handled the search for Rhule well. But c'mon man. He should have done the right thing for the university and the right thing for Frost.

I still like Scott Frost as a person as well. He was an excellent coach before the Huskers hired him. Therefore, I didn't understand why things went so bad for him while at Nebraska. The Husker media obviously isn't going to talk about this. They are probably afraid of getting sued or something. I just thought that you guys would like to know what my dad told me. He heard this information from very reliable sources.

I just had an hour-long meeting with Scott Frost about this post. He said that Trev was a hater and a bully. And that Whipple refused to call his plays. He also said that if Tom Osborne had not benched him in 1997 he would have had the confidence to help Nebraska. And he is not an alcoholic. This was on a zoom call while he was in a bar.

Perhaps the pressure of the job got to him.

Threads like this are straight up crack and porn for some posters.

I gotta give you credit though 'Your dad works in Omaha" is actually more of a credible source than most of the posters! Hahah

I am guessing the poster that started this is an Iowa fan?

So...if I say something like "My second cousin works in Iowa" and then I say "And he can confirm that KF is a racist"

Does that make it so?

What do you do for a living? Me? I write trashy sex letters for Penthouse magazine.

I'm seriously not trying to cause problems. I just thought I would pass on what my dad told me. Maybe my dad's sources are wrong but I don't think they are. My dad knows people that have played for the Huskers and have connections to the program. I am still in shock at how bad things went while Scott was the coach. I am very glad though that the Huskers brought him in Matt Rhule. Matt is going to be one of the best Husker coaches ever.

If this is all true it’s very sad for Scott Frost and sad for the program that he couldn’t give 100% and let his personal issues get the better of him.

He is still the worst head coach ever at Nebraska but I hope he gets the help he needs.

Yes, I agree that Scott is one of the worst Husker coaches ever. Maybe the worst Husker coach. I hope Scott doesn't get another head coaching job until he gets his personal issues dealt with.

Whether or not Omaha Dad is real, Frost’s rumored ethanol issues go a ways to explaining the program dysfunction. And as families often do, everyone pretty much kept their beaks shut until after the fact.

A symphony made up of only the tiniest violins is drowning out the sound of the -55 degree windchill winter squall happening outside my window right now. Man if only those millions and millions he got for doing exactly F all could somehow help him get his life straight. I know my community already has a prayer chain and go fund me set up for the poor guy. Does YOURS?

I don’t think he will ever get another P5 Head Coaching job because of how lousy a record he has.

The best he can hope for at this point is at the Junior High level but they wouldn’t want a drunk around kids either. So no chance.

Frost did us a favor really. Now we have an adult running the program.

So my question for you is why perpetuate additional rumors that accomplish absolutely nothing? You even admit it may not be true. So it would be OK for people to say the same things about you and your family? I don't understand this school of thought and the further humiliation of another human.

So your dad is in Omaha. Good for him. I guess that means he can know things about Frost that folks outside of Omaha don't.

Seriously, you never provide us with a reason for why your dad is a valid source of anything.

100 dollars says the OP either forgot or did not know that UNL was actually in Lincoln.
