Of course. But I've wondered this for a while. U take a job. U don't meet expectations. U don't fck something you love.
Methinks he loves the money more. Much more. Which is why he doesn't really seem to give a **** in his post-game pressers, and just gives coachspeak.

That's basically what Darin Erstad did when he realized his ceiling as head coach of the baseball team was runner up in the Big 10 and at most 1 win in a regional. Not the same amount of money by a long shot but still.
Hey he is a former Husker and has pride right? Sure he will resign. No problem. He bleeds red and will do what is best for the program.

If he was a "Real" Nebraska boy, with our values, he would resign. I don't think I could look in the mirror taking all that money and letting my state down.
Didn’t he say at one point if it wasn’t working he would resign? Wasn’t it early in his tenure he made a comment about that.
Everyone on the public payroll says that. But they all take the money, and they never resign.
I would feel bad for Frost… but the millions get in the way.
I know most think he will suck his money out of this, but f*ck that. I will lose all honor and respect I’ve had to work hard to maintain over 4+ years, and I also don’t believe in quitting on your team. But this is not quitting. This is recognizing, like a mental health crisis, that you’re unfit to leave, and for the abundance of love he has for the players and the program, he should walk away and refund his salary- period.
There’s no way to maintain any honor or respect swindling more $$ from the University and the people it represents.

In government...they never resign and always take the money. The thinking is...if not me, it will be someone even worse.
Frost knows that if he doesn't take the $7.5M...it will end up in the pockets of corrupt officials. And I'm sure he's already promised to kick back a lot of the money.
He doesn't believe that he's the one responsible for the condition of the program. Likely he thinks it's a product of bad luck and the previous regime's culture of losing.
I bet if you randomly surveyed 1,000 "real" Nebraska boys and asked them if they would walk away from 7.5 million dollars because they didn't do a good enough job at work, 90 % would take the money and stay. What makes you think the rest of us are more magnanimous than Frost?
The contract was between two parties. You should not hold only SF responsible if he takes the money. No dishonor in taking the money. The real problem is the fools negotiating these contracts. They are the reason we have head coaches making $9 million or more. The fans bare some of the responsibility as well. They are the reason the schools do anything to “get their guy”. JMHO
Nebraska signed a compensation package when Frost was hired. The money is owed to him. End of story. No one turns down $7.5 million just because. Head coaching salaries have skyrocketed in college football, and that is the market rate to hire anybody. Just accept it.
It is what it is. If we want the best coaches, we got to be willing to pay for them.
