I'm not an avid basketball fan but is this team disproportionately prone to excessively long scoring droughts?

Seems like very game we're good for 1 or 2 - 4+ minute droughts. Is that common? Or are we that jekyll and hyde?

Can anybody confirm this? I'd like to learn more about this

Basketball is a game of runs but no, that is not normal. We go on these incredible droughts every game. From what I can see, it gets back to a few things.

1) We can't shoot. Consistency is horrible. When we are off, we can't throw it in the ocean. We need shooters. See Iowa.
2) We have no understanding of how to use the low post. Myles is now a proven reasonable option So many times he has position and the team simply will not get the ball inside. All this does is expose our poor outside shooting even more, while making it even harder to drive into the paint.
3) Teams know our best chance at scoring is fast break unsettled situations. Every team now is adept at getting back and stopping that. Notice how we have so few fast break dunks now? That ship has sailed. Force us into a half court game. Win game. We are a very easy scout.

Fans need to start focusing on 2022-2023 season when Baker.Harper.Johnson.,Young,Mathis and McConnell will be gone.Hopefully, the recruits coming in the next two seasons will have some shooters. The B1G is a conference where teams can't have poor recruiting classes and stay competitive.
