I can't drink the kool-aid. I just can't. Not today. Not tomorrow either for that matter.

I've got my 5 year colonoscopy tomorrow and can't have anything red 🙃

Every 4-5 years over the last two decades we get a massive dose of adrenaline and we all get fired up for what's to come. I like the hire....But I'll never again buy into the hype. I still believe we are a cursed program. I hope Rhule is the shaman that can fix this voodoo.... Seems like a good start, I'll admit that.

Indeed. Year after year he insisted on putting the program on self-induced probation because he had mental issues. Where’s he coaching now?
Bo had a lot of success here, imagine if he had one or two more guys that contributed each year, maybe he would have won a few conference titles.

He was a good coach, but a horrible person to choose to run a program. He could have stayed in the NFL and coached until the day he died (that is if he chose to evolve, which was one thing he refused to do at Nebraska)

I love the fact that there will be genuine open competition for jobs. There could legitimately be 80ish scholarship dudes competing for jobs this spring.

I had some precancerous bumps a few years ago so I had a stretch where I was getting scoped at least every 6 months. Literally it’s a pain in the ***. The drugs for the scope are great. The prep as you know….not so much.

Dr office gave me directions for miralax/dulcalax but pharmacy gave something different with totally different directions.

Well anyway. Enough of this, back to Husker recruiting

Funny colonoscopy story. (Maybe not funny but I'm going to thumb it out anyway.).

At my annual physical when I was 45, doc asked me if I have had a colonoscopy. Nope. He said that it's now being recommended at 45. OK. Yay.

So I call my insurance, which was not the best. I had a ton of trouble with them before. Asked Tammy if it was covered. Yes it was. 100% after copay. If it was preventative.

Asked Tammy if the doc was in network. Yes he was. Facility? Yep. So how much out of pocket? $250 copay. Great. Set it up.

Went to the pharmacy a month later. Got the two doses of colon blow. Took the first one the night before. It did an OK job. Nothing spectacular. Got up the next AM and chugged the second bottle. That one had the kind of results I had imagined. So much so that I just stayed on the crapper.

While I was on the crapper, I ran out of things to do. I don't know why, but I had a rotten feeling about my insurance and called them one more time to confirm. Because they had been horrible in the past. Told them my name and that I was just making sure that everything was covered. Lady said just a minute. Comes back on. "Sir, I just need to verify your age. You are 45, correct?". Yes. "We don't cover this procedure until you are 50."

WTF.

Told her Tammy told me it was covered, what date that was, and what we discussed - and that I was the same age as when I called a month ago. She gave zero *****.

Told her I was mostly through my second dose of colon blow and my appt was in a few hours. She gave even less ***** about that.

Asked her what would happen if I went anyway, she said they couldn't guarantee they'd cover any of it.

Awesome. Ended up getting hit with a $250 fee for canceling day of appt. and an unwanted colon cleanse. God bless Tammy.

I ain't going to lie, the next time someone named Tammy answers the phone, regardless of business, I am just going to hang up or ask to be transferred to someone else.
