Scheyer to Bulls??

I would be shocked if Scheyer ever left Duke.

And there are likely plenty of NBA teams not in the playoffs that might pull the trigger on firing their last coach now that BD is on the market. He'd go NBA well before he'd return to UF or any college team.
There's no difference in college or the NBA at this point. The NBA does have salary caps though.

It would be intriguing if Golden and Scheyer left what would likely be the #1 and #2 rosters in CBB heading into next year.

what if there were no contracts in the NBA and every player could become a free agent at the end of the season and play for the highest bidder?

Why? He’s from Chicago and if the new regime actually tries he might do good. They have 2 first round picks in a deep draft. You can get good In nba in 3 years look at the pistons.

Scheyer seems like a Duke lifer to me. They have the resources to pay him whatever he asks for.
